Bakery and Grocery Emmanuel — Restaurant in Galveston

Want to be fair. 1st time. The store wasn't the cleanest. Boxes on the floor I guess stuff to be put up. The problem for me the pastries, do not look fresh. The cookies and other items. Appeared old & dry. The shelf life looked overdue. I bought 3 completely different items. And we're hard. Disappointed I've waited a longtime to go. And it truly missed my mark. Maybe bad day. Hubs and I enjoyed fresh empanadas this morning from the new Bakery Emanuel on 45th Street. I loved the aroma of breads baking in the kitchen and the cute wooden display cabinets filled with a large variety of baked goods. The cafe/grocery store is very well lit and clean. I recommend they add labels with product description and prices. Our four empanadas cost less than the $5 purchase minimum to use our debit card, so we dug into our wallets and produced enough cash. :D We will definitely be...

This place did not disappoint!! They do have a small selection, but they do have all the classics. To top it off, everything is so fresh and flavorful. Definitely took me back to my childhood.
