This is an event my mother and I attend yearly and always look forward to. I couldn’t go this year- so she tried taking her disabled husband with to sit while she looked around. She had her 5 lb dog in a completely covered stroller, not disruptive or barking and they were kicked out of the fairgrounds. I am so disappointed as I will never attend this event again after hearing my mom so upset. I understand there are rules for animals as there can’t be dogs running around for numerous reasons. Ultimately the dog was completely covered in a stroller and undetectable, so the fact that this was such an issue for the staff member is excessive. Ultimately to sum it up, a woman who can barely leave the house anymore due to having a 100% disabled veteran husband with terminal cancer couldn’t walk around with a stroller.
