I inherited my late grandma’s wedding ring from my mom that was purchased by my grandfather from the original location of the same jeweler many years ago. I took the diamond into Margaret Matson Jewelers with my mom and the experience picking out a new setting and talking with the staff were moments both of us will never forget. Everything went so smooth, and the location allowed my mom and I to spend time together in downtown Geneva for multiple weekends. First experience here: I was looking for a place to replace a cheap digital watch battery because I don't have a small enough screwdriver and thought it should be easy. Margaret Matson claims to do watch repair, but they just told me they could not replace a battery on a digital watch without mailing it to the watch maker. For a place that claims to do watch repair, I would have expected that they could take out 4 screws and replace a battery in house. Margaret did a very accurate appraisal since another high-end jewelry buyer/company in Chicago offered prices very close to Margarets appraisals for my moms 3 elegant diamond rings.
