Georgetown Community Center — Local services in Georgetown

My wife and i recently moved to the Denver area in November 2018. We finally stopped in Georgetown to explore and paid our first visit to the visitors center. Right away when i walked in a woman helped answer my question about how often you can see the big horn sheep on the mountainsides in the area. There is a little room with chairs to learn some of the history of the town, particularly the skiing history. There's a public restroom, snacks and lots of souvenirs. This is a really educational and beautiful visitors center. The staff here know everything about the shops in town, the Loop Railroad, and surrounding sights. They provided a map of the town and historic district that was very useful and pointed out places to eat. I bought a pretty scarf and the prices for local crafts are very reasonable. Like most places in Georgetown and in some other smaller mountain communities the customer service seems to be slow and sluggish it's unfortunate considering the costs of commodities and services in the small mountain communities the lack of customer service and sell it information doesn't help tour is coming back...
