This shop and the owner (shame on me for not asking her name) are absolutely wonderful! I'm hesitant with yarn shops because my experiences have mostly been uncomfortable. I usually feel like an imposter taking to most staff or shop owners, especially because I crochet and buy big store acrylic. I felt so welcome in this shop, and the owner was chatting with every single one of us, excited to answer our questions, offered recommendations and encouragement on our future crafting, even stopped to make Chai for a lady who had never had it, but was considering buying a little aroma cup rug that came with Chai. I have to say, this shop and its owner Ruth are both amazing! My wife and I were simply enthralled at the wide selection of high quality skeins of yarn in nearly any color we could think of or wish for. On top of that, there are several hand-knitted items available for sale that also help demonstrate what your final project might look like with a certain color.

As for Ruth, she was incredibly kind and helpful in showing us colors we may like based on our preferences. She also gave me a knitting recipe and multiple suggestions for making a knit cap that I will most definitely use and make sure to pass on.

I had heard about The Quilted Purl on a Pinterest post. I was apprehensive at first because I am a new knitter. My apprehension quickly disappeared when I met the owner. She is one of the kindest people I have met. She helped me select the yarn that I needed, and showed me how to complete the project I had in mind. She also showed me a few quilting projects.
