MKR came highly recommended to me as an FFL to do business with, however, I had a negative experience with them and would not return. Prior to my firearm being delivered there I had called a few times with questions regarding the WA process, as I have not bought a firearm in this state before, and found it was challenging to get ahold of anyone at the store and left a voicemail with no return call. Once in store to complete the paperwork after my firearm was delivered, the poor customer service continued with multiple rude remarks from one of the employees Chris, repeated profanities in the presence of customers, talking poorly of customers who call and âbotheredâ them after their firearms are marked as delivered, and on. I had asked about having additional services done with them during my two week waiting period (which I was told could be done), and to call to confirm my decisions. I tried calling and leaving a voicemail and emailing with no response once again. I then stopped in store to address the additional services and was told someone would reach out to me with an estimate to proceed and surprise surprise, a week went by and I never got a call or email with an estimate. In that time I tried to call and email to follow-up and could never get ahold of or response from anyone. Without these additional services and lack of responsiveness, I ended up finding an alternative firearm that better suited my needs and decided to send back the one awaiting pick up at this shop. Having to rely on them to make the return in a timely manner was very discouraging, and I had to call repeatedly in order to get the process going. Once I showed up there to pay for return shipping someone make the comment to me âwell we could have done those services for you for âxâ amountâ, yet in over a week timeframe no one called me with a quote as they said they would, no one responded to my various emails to the store, no one returned my voicemails I left. I have had numerous firearms and let me tell you this was the most disappointing and poor excuse for customer service I have found in this industry and after hearing how great this shop was, I was highly disappointed and offended by how they spoke to and about customers in my presence and the derogatory comments made to me. I will NEVER do business with this shop again and would highly recommend going elsewhere for service before wasting your...
Read moreI can say Iâm now a customer of MKR Tactical. After my local shop let me down with their service I thought Iâd give MKR a try, and man am I happy I did. Their gunsmith was able to get what I needed done in under 30 mins (my local shop had it for 5 days and couldnât even give me an answer on when their gunsmith was going to come in and kind of blew me off I felt). First things first is I appreciate MKR for their honesty. They charge $60 per hour rate for their gunsmith and I was told if it took 30 minutes to get what I needed done then they would only charge me $30 instead of making me pay a minimum $60. When I dropped my gun off I left and headed home ( keep in mind they could have easily said the work I needed done took them an hour to scam another $30 off of me but THEY DIDNâT) and that to me is how you gain trust and business from new customers. Customer service is top notch, the shop is badass, the decor screams freedom & they are huge supporters of LEOs/Mil which is big in my book. Thank you to Shawn, the MKR gunsmith and the whole MKR team for knowing/understanding as a local business if you treat customers like family they will come back. I will happily drive over an hour to give you my business before I go online in the...
Read moreBack in February 2020 I bought a BCM A.R. 15. It was a nice rifle and they seem knowledgeable. Then I bought a suppressor which they held onto for 10 months until the stamp came through. All standard business. But after holding onto it for 10 months they told me it was the wrong suppressor and I had to order a different connector. One wouldâve thought they wouldâve figured that out in the 10 months theyâre holding onto it. Also they stated that the shims were not available. Again one would have thought they actually were looked into the box and confirmed the shims were not there to save me a little time in ordering them. So I had to order shims and another connector. I had previously brought the rifle from them and they had looked at the rifle when they told me I needed a different connector. Finally I ordered a new one at another $100 cost and brought it in and then they told me they couldnât do it there because it was a welded tip and it had to be taken to a custom shop. They did give me the name of a shop which could do it. Good people who are responsive. My initial write up was more critical but the owner was responsive and made good points I had not considered. Would shop...
