When it comes to our Starbucks favorites, most of us know exactly what we like...we know how to order, we know the look, the taste, the feel of our "usual"... that's why I find it incomprehensible for a barrista to tell me 'that's how it always is', when the drink they've handed me is nothing like the one I get every day. We know if our 2-pump-7 sugar-nonfat-triple shot-upside down and make a wish- latte has 3 pumps, or even 2 and a half....WE KNOW OUR DRINKS. Unfortunately, my most recent experience at this particular Starbucks was negated by 2 barrista telling me 'that's the way it always looks' when I was handed my "Do not Shake, cream on the top only" Cold Brew Vanilla Sweet Cream, and it was 16oz of milky iced coffee, no foam or top cream. It was clearly either standing a while, shaken, or made incorrectly....but the baristas decided to take a stand and argue. Now, of course, this whole thing seems silly... it's just a drink, right? Well, it's the one treat that I allow myself on my very strict diet, it's money out of my pocket, and it's time out of my day; I think I'm asking for just one thing... get it right, or do it over, but please, don't argue with the customer, especially about "the usual". If nothing else, it's bad...
Read moreI just wanted a croissant, cold. It was there, in front of me, behind the glass. No one else was queueing at the register. 3 young women were doing various chores. Finally one came up to the register, I ordered the croissant, adding a 20% tip, and I had to repeat my name a couple of times so she got it right. I was told to wait. I waited 10 minutes for someone to pick it off the shelf, put it in a bag, put a sticker with my name on it, and hand it to me (I was standing right there the whole time). I guess there are coffee machines to clean, trash to empty, bigger orders to fill from the folks in their car behind the wall. Still, great way to make the customer feel valued! I get there is a very complex process to follow closely, but how about using a bit of common sense and just handing me the croissant right away? It's faster for everyone. This whole idiotic robotic way of doing things means I will avoid this store from now on. It...
Read moreThis Starbucks location is the worst I have been too. Regardless that it's a new location, the staff needs to step up their customer service to be more friendly and not snotty, and concentrate on getting their drinks right. My drinks messed up twice and charged an extra $2.35 for 2 shots of milk when it was supposed to be cream, which is free on the counter. The drive-through should get it right and not make me have to come in to make sure it's right, regardless of that, a colleague picked up the order and did not know it should not be milk and should not be charged. She asked for cream. Other colleague drinks messed up three times and one other colleague, her drink wrong as well. This was four separate occasions all through the drive-thru. The biggest peeve of all, we had all written our orders down, so it should not have been wrong when it was so clear and the person who picked up the drinks gave them the sticky...
