Burger King — Restaurant in Gig Harbor

BEWARE of this location! They will steal your money. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

I have been frequenting this location for 5 years and will not be coming back. I processed a mobile order Saturday May 11th, at approx 9:00pm through Burger Kings mobile application. The application malfunctioned, and my card was STILL charged. The employee, or "manager," at this location and at this time (didn't catch a name) stated he didn't see an order in the system. He asked if I had placed the order for the wrong store, which I had not (provided him the store number). He then had the audacity to ask if I had enough funds available in my account to cover the order (which I most certainly did!) I showed him both my order which was placed, and EVEN my bank statement which reflected my payment processing to THIS location AND an available balance well enough to cover my order total.

The manager was visibly frustrated, rolling his eyes and mumbling under his breath. His eventual response was that even managers are NOT trained on the app whatsoever, he didn't have a phone number for his boss or the franchise owner. He didn't have a phone number for corporate, and that there was absolutely nothing he could do. He stated "I cannot help you," and all but asked me to leave. No apology, nothing. I had to call my bank to dispute the charge, which they QUICKLY agreed WAS absolutely a pending charge to that location (and that it was bogus).

Best Burger King experience in ages. The woman who took the drive-through order sounded like a sweet southern grandma (she was much younger than she sounded) and handled having strong wind in her headset with kind composure. A different woman handed us our order after nervously wiping the sides of our cups and made sure we knew it was her first time making milkshakes there, and maybe it was the shock of the really very extra nice customer service, but I feel like those were the best milkshakes anyone ever received from a Burger King in the history of Burger Kings. The fries were cooked and salted perfectly and the burgers were actually juicy, not some kind of wet or greasy or messy at all, but the kind of, like, if the pictures on the ads for fast food chain restaurants or frozen food containers were ever accurate, they were that. My friend and I just kind of looked at each other for a minute or two. It was an experience so brief and something a lot of people do every day, but every detail of our interactions that time made me feel like I was living in a day from a long forgotten America and that, to me, is priceless and I couldn't tell you how to recreate it, but I appreciate it and I have to tell everyone who will...

I just can't with this place anymore. Yes, the food is better quality than most other fast food places, but that just doesn't make up for the absolutely terrible service. First, it's incredibly slow. There's nothing fast about it. I've waited as long as 45 minutes for food before. Certain staff members are nice, but there always seems to be a revolving door of people who seem as though they would literally rather be anywhere else. I legitimately think they're all high AF all the time. The kitchen is disgusting with food, napkins, and trash strewn all over the floor, even when it's not busy. I was in there the other day, and there were numerous customers receipts just littered all over the counter. The bathroom was out of soap, paper towels and toilet paper. It's an embarrassment to the brand, and to Gig Harbor. This place desperately needs new management. The ONLY reason it gets two stars is because the burgers are...
