Ono Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Gilbert

The food here is usually really good, however time after time the service is so incredibly horrible I've decided to never return! This location has got to have the worst customer service ever! My husband and I had lunch and several orders that were placed after ours were filled before ours was. When I inquired about why other orders were filled before ours the girl at the front counter said they were waiting on the chicken. That is no big deal but it would have been nice for her to have apologized for the wait.

When I went to the restroom, although the soap dispenser was completely full, no soap would come out. The floor was disgustingly sticky as well. This time I talked to a guy at the front counter and he said he was aware that the soap dispenser was broken and that they had ordered a replacement one. Again no apology.... Also any food establishment should have remedied that issue immediately.! There is a Dollar Tree across the parking lot and they could have easily purchased a $1 soap to temporarily get them by. ....and how are employees suppose to efficiently wash their hands when there is no soap available (as the sign on the restroom door states all employees must wash their hands with soap for at least 30 seconds).

To address the sticky floor issue, the guy behind the counter stated that whoever closed up the restaurant the night before must not have done a good job... No apology again. There is a cleaning chart on the restroom wall as well showing that the restroom should be checked every 2 hours with the employee initials indicating it was checked and cleaned, however the last time someone checked it was Thursday at 2 p.m......it is now Sunday at 12pm. When I mentioned that it hadn't been cleaned for a few days according to the cleaning chart, he just looked at me dumbfounded and instead of apologizing or even acknowledging me, he just turned to the girl next to him and started talking quitely. I'm really disappointed with the way everything was handled. The lack of care , cleanliness and worst customer service, has made me never want to go to this...

Wow, the staff at the Power/Gilbert location are very unprofessional. Ive ordered from this location many times in hopes of getting better service. This was not the case. Pretty much every time ive ordered from this location, my order has been WRONG, not made at the specified time, or not made at all when i show up. Everytime ive had a problem, ive been very understanding, because mistakes get made. Even though i live 40 minutes away let me add. This last time, i showed up to my online order not even being looked at, once again i was cordial. Standing around while the employees twiddled their thumbs looking around for my order. I had to leave to pick up my son from school and then proceed to drive BACK to the location to pick up my order. I called the manager, she rudely hung up on me when i demanded my food AND money back because this was not the first time this has happened, i live 40 minutes away and this was just ridiculous. She didnt want to hear that i guess, so she hung up. Staff are disorganized and rude, leading to poor customer service and atmosphere. I will NOT be going to this location again. My first time at this location. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ mix. The BBQ beef and kalbi short ribs were not good.

I am Hawaiian. I've been to many Hawaiian food locations, I'm a beef person, usually the only thing I'm disappointed about is the small portion. The portion was fine but not the beef. I have never disliked any beef before.

The beef was definitely not marinated and it didn't even taste like beef. Doesn't taste like chicken, and not even like lamb - I don't like lamb but I would have preferred that taste. The kalbi is so thin, but it was all red inside. How does that happen? I'm worried that I'm going to get sick because I swallowed it. And when I bit into a few pieces of meat it had that sand crunch, where you might get dirt into food and it crunches.

I actually had to stop eating the beef and that's NEVER happened before. The chicken was decent - it had been marinated. The rice was perfectly cooked and the mac salad was okay.

I hope this was just a day that it was messed up and hopefully usually the beef is better. But I won't go back because messing up beef, for me, is...
