I hate giving bad reviews but Thai Chili is one of my favorite spots and the rudeness of one employee ruined my desire to visit this location again. Not to mention the amount of food for the price. I’m writing about the location on Power road in Mesa. We visited on a Sunday afternoon. After we ordered, we noticed several orders were coming out, sitting without lids while one single customer was asking the cashier endless questions regarding everything on the menu. I got up and wanted to make sure our order wasn’t sitting there getting cold. The cashier noticed and rudely said they weren’t our orders sitting there and she had to assist the other customer. Didn’t even care that WE are customers too who already paid and was not at all polite with her response. Incredibly rude and complete disregard for us. I mentioned to her that I was just making sure it wasn’t sitting there while she was distracted. She said it hasn’t even been that long since we ordered. Again. Rudely. When our food came out, we noticed the entrée containers weren’t full and the side of veggies was only a quarter of the way full. We’ve always received atleast 3/4 full container of veggies at other locations which is why we always order a side of veggies. She claimed they changed the serving size. Yet they still charge $5 for a side of veggies with LESS food. I get everything has gotten more expensive but if Akshat Sethi is skimping that much, this place is not even worth the price anymore. And the least she could’ve done is offered to add more this one time since we just learned about their “less portions, more money” rule. 🙄 The other locations have always treated us great and I’ve even recommended Thai chili to friends but after this, no way. It makes me sad that this location has turned me off of visiting Thai chili again. One single cashier at this place completely ruined our thoughts...
Read moreI waited one hour for delivery service from the time I placed the order. I said ok that wait would be ok. When it got to that hour I called to see how much longer my meals would be arriving. I was told that it should be there any minute. I was ok with that. But another half hour went by and still no food. I called again and the manager was very nice. But the manager was going to call the driver and find out the delay. He called me back about 15 minutes later and told me that they just delivered my meals. I told the manager that I had not received the meals. I got upset and said I don't wn the meals anymore. Then about 5 minutes later the driver calls me to tell me that she is having a hard time finding my address. So I was told that the food was dropped off but then I get the call from the driver. Not happy at all. I was lied to. I have nothing against the food. The manager was nice and he was willing to go out of his way to help. And I was very grateful. But when he lied to me and said the meals were there, when they wern't was enough for me. I cancelled the order. I ended going and getting something from somewhere. I like Thai 2 Go but I will not be going to this one in Mesa/Gilbert. Bad service on delivery and a manager who lies. Not good for business. Ok,...
Read moreOne of my favorite places to eat, that's why this experience was very surprising. I came in and the people here are usually so friendly and helpful and that was different than the experience I had today.
The problem I had when when the manager, he is an older man with a black shirt and gray beard, no name tag was talking on his cell phone that he needed to lean over the counter and talk because it was plugged in by the cash register closest to the soda machines. He was talking to someone in front if customers about hiring a boy describing him with long hair and that he couldn't work Monday's and other information, and asking him what he thought.
I am a business owner, a mother, a daughter, a sister and someone who thinks that information should be kept in his office or somewhere than in front of customers. I would be more upset if he was talking about one of my family members. There was also an application on one of the tables left out for anyone to see on top of a computer.
I really hope this is addressed because it is very unprofessional and could impact the Thai Chili name by someone that needs training and in most places could get fired because of violation...
