Oh boy, where do I even start with this Funko Pop store? I walked in with high hopes, but alas, it was like stepping into a vinyl nightmare. Here's my not-so-glowing review of the experience:
First, let's talk about the employees. I don't know if they were trained in the art of indifference or if they were auditioning for a silent film, but their lack of enthusiasm was infectious. When I asked for assistance, they looked at me as if I had just discovered gravity or fire. Maybe they were trying to maintain an air of mystery, but come on, folks, this is a Funko Pop store, not a secret society!
Moving on to the selection, or should I say lack thereof. The store boasted having a vast array of collectibles, but it felt like the Funko Pops were on strike and decided to go on vacation. The shelves were practically begging for attention, with half-empty displays and missing figures galore. I mean, seriously, are the missing ones playing hide-and-seek or on an extended coffee break?
And don't even get me started on the prices. I felt like I was at a fancy auction house rather than a store for little plastic figures. Who knew tiny vinyl characters could come with such a hefty price tag? I nearly had to take out a mortgage just to afford a single Pop. I'll stick to the dollar store for my plastic fix, thank you very much.
Lastly, let's talk ambiance. I appreciate a store trying to create a unique atmosphere, but this place was more like a 1945 Hiroshima. The intense white light blinding me from seeing the ridiculous prices on the shelves
In conclusion, if you're looking for a Funko Pop store that combines lackluster service, anemic selection, sky-high prices, and a mysterious ambiance that rivals the Hiroshima, this place is your dream come true. As for me, I'll be searching for my Funko fix elsewhere, where the employees actually smile, the shelves are full, and the prices don't require a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs soon as I walked into the store, I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. I said that I was looking for a Sanrio Naruto Funko Pop for my daughter's birthday. The employee immediately stood up and said, "I know where it is." Since those Funko Pops are popular, the store only had one left. I bought the one they had, but I needed one more. He told me that he would check the boxes he had in the back.
I told him I would come back in two days, and he said that if he found another one, he would save it for me. When I returned two days later, he had found another one, which my daughter absolutely loves.
The employee went above and beyond to help me. He understood why I needed the Funko Pop and did everything in his power to make sure I got it for my daughter's birthday. I believe his name is AJ. He truly went the extra mile to ensure my daughter got her present.
To anyone reading negative reviews, please don't let them influence your perception of this store. A single negative review does not reflect the excellent customer service they provide.
Thank you again for the outstanding service. Wishing you and your business...

Response: I understand overhead costs which is why market price is understandable for most products. But when the market price changes for single cards and the clerks are shown the current market price from tcgplayer, pricecharting and being told that you would rather hold on to a card rather than sell it for the current market price isn't good business. I understand most mark ups are a little over but double is crazy. Many bay area cards shops that sell singles are willing to negotiate if the cards at their store aren't current with the market price, especially if they supposedly checked the price that day which is clearly a lie because I showed your clerk that the price was off. Unless the card is hot, which the one I wanted to purchase, was not, the price doesn't jump from 16 dollars to 7...
