Glenpool Dentist - Eclipse Smiles — Local services in Glenpool

I recently moved to the area in August and was due for my six month cleaning. After extensive research, I found Eclipse Smile and felt comfortable giving them my business. I have a very busy schedule and not a lot of availability, but they were able to accommodate my schedule. I had a midmorning appointment for my cleaning.

I would like to start by saying the business is absolutely beautiful when you walk in! The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. I filled out a little bit of information on myself/dental history on an iPad and was offered a beverage of choice from the mini fridge.

When it was my turn, the dental assistant greeted me and walked me back to my room. On the walk back, we had a little bit of small talk and she told me about Dr. Andrus and showed me his credentials/accomplishments. Just around the corner was the office staffs information. The office manager, dental, hygienist, and dental assistant with a picture and their credentials.

The facility had nice new equipment in all the rooms. Since it was my first time, I had to have x-rays and pictures taken. The process was very easy and streamlined. In the room I had a fancy massage chair that was even heated if you were cold. They also provided a cozy blanket. The room had two TVs so you could look at the images that were taken with the dentist. You also had the option to watch TV.

My hygienist was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. She suggested flossing tips since my teeth are very close together. She discussed what causes plaque and things I could do to help reduce it. She was by far the most knowledgeable, dental hygienist I’ve ever had!

Unfortunately, I needed to have some fillings taken care of and Dr. Andrus and his team were once again able to accommodate my schedule. I was able to return in the afternoon for the fillings to be done. This was a very fast process. It had been quite some time since I have had a filling and I remember it being a much longer process 15+ years ago. With technology advancements, state of the art equipment, and an experienced doctor things moved very quickly. I’m extremely happy with the work that I had done today. I will most definitely be recommending Eclipse Smile to friends and coworkers!

I just have to give a shout put of appreciation to this dental office...

For anyone that knows me..you know I do NOT do dentists. I've had horrible experiences and just getting me into an office is an extreme battle!

I have been battling some pretty severe issues for a while now with my teeth and my husband being the amazing spouse that he is didn't want me in pain anymore. As soon as I had insurance through my new job, he called around for hours while I was at work to find the best dental office to take care of me and scheduled me an appointment here at Eclipse Smiles in Glenpool.

They were completely understanding of my dental trauma and had an array of comfort items to choose from to make the visit that much smoother and comfortable for me. They talked us through every step, option and process and made sure I felt in control as much as possible of what was being done. Thursday during my initial visit that was just supposed to be talking and xrays, I went ahead and got my first professional cleaning in about 14 years...scary I know..but the fear of dental offices is real guys..lol They were so gentle throughout the cleaning and we were all surprised at how healthy my gums and stuff were over all given the amount of time since my last professional cleaning! The dentist came to talked to us about our options, went over the scans, xrays, even had models of things to explain our options!

Then..today..I finally took the plunge and just went ahead and fixed everything with them as much as we could at the moment. ALL the scary stuff is officially out of the way! 2 root canals, an extraction, crown replacement and measurements for a partial all taken care of in one go and I can honestly say even with it being that much work at once..it was the BEST experience I have had at the dentist EVER. AND even with everything done, I can still move my jaw! My pain overall is very minimal!!

Their whole team is just so understanding, kind and knowledgeable. I think over time I will actually be able to keep a non emergency relationship with this facility and team and keep up with routine maintenance!

For context, I contacted them the day before and told them that if my insurance wasn’t part of my dental to contact me so I could find my dental. They didn’t do that and charged me $79 for all this stuff I didn’t really need but I didn’t know that until later because I thought my dental didn’t cover it. Also, when I had called them, they told me that my appointment would be at 9. So I get there at 9 and they tell me, “We had to change your appointment to 10:30.” They didn’t email, text, or call me that it had changed and I spoke to them 24 hours before and it was still at 9. So I had work by 10:30 so I asked them if we could change it and the person in charge of insurance said, “Let me send him a text and see if he can come in early.” So he was able to and they got me started. I got started around 9:20 and they were doing all these measurements for my teeth. The hygienist finally reaches a point and asks, “Do you want to get a cleaning?” And I said, “Yes.” So she gets a paper and says, “Since you don’t have dental…” and I stopped her and said, “I do have dental.” So then she goes back and talks to the insurance person and we’re trying to figure out what my dental is, even though I told them to contact me if that wasn’t it. So then we finally find it and she does the cleaning. The doctor comes in and tells me I will eventually need to remove my baby tooth, which is BS because no other dentist has said that and my mom still has a baby tooth. The doctor looks at my teeth and says it looks good and knows I’m on a time crunch but for some reason, he just sits there for like 3 minutes. So I finally say, “I’ve got to go.” And I left. Looking back, the hygienist had me pull this up right before so I’m wondering if he thought if he just sat there if I would write the review in front of them but I needed to sit on the situation and I’m still very much upset. Honestly, the hygienist was great and I wish I could give her a different review because I would give her 5 stars and I wish she worked some where else because I would continue coming here if it were just for her.
