At my wits end with our FURNACE. I know enough to be dangerous..... literally dangerous and was able to diagnose the problem as another burnt out flame sensor and igniter. This was the 3rd igniter I replaced in a year. Ok so now it was apparent that there was a root cause and that is where Busy Bee came in. I called at around 10am and they sent Sam out who arrived around 1pm. He called to verify he was on his way and again when he arrived. He immediately got under the house ( crawl space unit) to begin what i call a " root cause anaylisis" and in about an hour had given me the option of again replacing the igniter but because the unit was around 25yrs old I had asked for an estimate to just replace the whole thing. He figured out the cost for both scenarios and gave me the pros and cons of both. Made it very easy to chose to just go ahead and replace. He then gave me the options, costs and benefits to replacing it with a high end unit or a new "contractor" grade unit. Being the electronics in everything now-a-days (I repair medical equipment for a living and see it all the time) are roughly the same, we split for the contractor's grade. Sam then offered space heaters to get us through the January Colorado night [with a sick toddler at home] and went on his way with a promise to return the next morning after he picked up all the necessary parts and pieces from the warehouse. The company dispatch called that night to confirm everything and let us know when we could expect Sam the next day. On cue Sam called the following morning to let us know he was on his way. He arrived on time and never left until the new unit was sucking gas and burning us out. He verrified all functions, settings and explained every step beforehand including the unusual smell when a new unit fires up for the first time. He tested everything involved and let us know we were good to go before asking for payment. The level of quality, professionalism, collusion and communication was not only refreshing but very much appreciated. The whole experience was made so comfortable I would just throw Sam the keys to my house and go to work if I ever have him do work for us again. From one tradesman to another thank you Sam so much as it really restored my faith in there are some good people out there and they work for Busy Bee HVAC.

Read moreColorado Busy Bee Number one - Russell came out to give us a quote to replace our HVAC. He was professional, polite, very transparent and explained everything to me in layman’s terms. Very trustworthy and I was comfortable with him from the moment he came to my door. I appreciated the fact that there were no “bundle” pricing games and he was a straight shooter from the start. No pressure and no up-sell & itemized clearly so I understood my options from a financial level. Gave us a true cost legit quote, no revisions.
Number 2 - Adriane came out on day of install. I was texted his eta just before arriving which I appreciated because we have 3 yappy dogs which gave me time to crate them. Adriane was extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and gave me professional details to all questions I had. Everything was removed and carted off that the new equipment replaced. I felt very comfortable with him in my home and he had a pleasant vibe. Russell also helped w the install.
Number 3 - Very impressed with the owner who is deeply rooted in the community and is on top of rebates and offers generous discounts on qualifying instances when they didn’t have to be offered to me in the first place. I feel he prides his business on honesty and integrity as well as gives back to the community which was very refreshing.
The scheduler, (Jessica I think was her name) was very helpful as well, and we feel went above and beyond which was greatly appreciated.
After having some bad experiences in the past with other HVAC businesses who seemed shady, due to things like blatant “wrong diagnosis” resulting in a “HIGH cost” quote in the “thousands of dollars” price range after compared to final “actual costs” when we had to call out their misdiagnosis due to our own research and IN ADDITION to offering completely unnecessary and not asked for expensive up sells, which wasn’t what we wanted or needed at those times.
My overall experience was very pleasant, no games, extremely competitive with first quote and a respectful crew from the start to finish. We will ALWAYS use Busy Bee in the future for as long as we live...
Read moreWe needed a new a/c and furnace. I had 4 separate companies come out and bid the project. Howard (the owner) came out the same day for the quote and had the estimates to me by the next day. Of all the quotes I got, his was the only one that included pulling permits (which after doing a bunch of research was one of the things experts said should always be done by professional companies) and they're not cheap. His prices were straight forward (I paid the same amount as what we agreed upon before the installation). He literally stayed until 1 in the morning to get everything finished the day of the installation. Everything works great, and the temp in my house is AMAZING!!
While I've only had the new units for a couple days so far, I was extremely impressed with the process of bidding and installation and would highly recommend them. I've recommended them to my neighbors and plan to re-review in the winter once the furnace starts to be used.
Added since initial post: The one negative thing I want to share is that when I had the inspector come to sign off on the install, he did require additional combustible air volume in the basement in order to sign off on it. This required putting a 6" vent to the outside of my home. When I called up Busy Bee, they said it was not included in the original quote and it would cost an additional service visit. I declined, since this is really easy to do. I just wish it was included originally in the quote, and just done at the time of the install.
I still would give them 5 stars, but just wanted to let people know about the...
