We got our suits for our wedding here. I will say everything went down hill from there. The people are very nice, but as far as orders go…. Everything went wrong with ours. We had a big wedding party, and the last person paid on May 2nd. Our order should have been sent off by May 3rd-4th. They said it would take 7-10 business days. When I called on May 12th, they told me “It will be a few more days.” My fiancé called and they told him, “Oh, I am so sorry, we must have over looked your order. I promise I will send it off first thing tomorrow morning. That should have went out on May 13th. We had to take a suit out of town, and we thought we ordered in enough time that if something happened, we had wiggle room. I called on May 19th, and my order didn’t get sent out until May 18th, 5 days later than what we were told. But remember 2 weeks late then when it should have been ordered. We were also told our ties wouldn’t be in, until the week of our wedding! This wouldn’t have happened if they hadn’t forgot our order! They came in, a week later. My daddy’s pants came in with a busted zipper. He told them, and they promised to fix it. My fiancé and I picked the suits up just a few days later. It took them 20 minutes to find a suit. I honestly thought they had lost it. I got a call from my dad a few days later… week of my wedding… and they hadn’t fixed his zipper! It was still busted! I had to drive a hour and a half down there to get it fixed. I demanded they fix it then, because I refused to come back. Then my fiancé’s dads pants were altered 3 inches too short. We had to take them somewhere else to get fixed. I was recommended this place by a fellow co-worker. However, we didn’t have a great experience. I would think twice before getting a...
Read moreI thought we rented a tuxedo for my son for the prom at Davidson Academy. We came in and he was fitted. It was 4 weeks before prom and the salesman said it would be ready in a week. I even inquired why we would be picking it up 3 weeks early because that seemed odd when renting a tuxedo. The salesman told me they do not care when you pick it up. Fast forward to today he goes in to return it and the salesman tells him the tuxedo was purchased not rented. Why on Gods green earth didn’t the salesman say that when he was asked why they didn’t care if we picked it up 3 weeks before we needed it. That was the time right there to do the honest thing and be upfront about the purchase being a sale not a rental. I specifically asked why the very early pickup was ok!! But not one word was mentioned about it being a purchase. Then when I called and told whoever answered the phone how I felt completely taken advantage of the man got sassy on the phone when he was less than helpful and lied and told me it was a normal everyday occurrence that teenagers purchase NOT rent tuxes for prom. Do not go to this store you will be taken...
Read moreI went into D&K just for a suit jacket for a conference I am attending. A man named John approached me and immediately knew my size while he was still twenty feet away. The jacket he picked out fit me like a glove. But he also pointed out a deal they had going on where I could get two entire suits for the same price. The man has a real talent. Suits that he pointed out at first seemed "not my style" until he had me try them on. Then, to my surprise, they looked great on me! I was taken aback by how effortlessly this gentleman made me look good in a suit. And I mean it when I call John a gentleman. He was polite, informative, and made sure I knew that his priority was my satisfaction, not the sale. I wound up purchasing two suits and a pair of shoes, and I couldn't have been happier with the transaction. He had the pants hemmed perfect in about thirty minutes, and I can't tell you how pleased I am with how I look. John made a lasting impression, and I can promise you I will be buying more...
