TLDR: They have a no refund policy, even if you bought the thing 10 minutes ago.
I was driving around looking for Skylanders and called this store to see if they had more than the Elkhart location. I was told they did so I went over. I started looking through their Skylanders, which they had a lot of, and started setting out the ones I was interested in. The guy at the counter started pricing them for me. My first complaint is that If you are looking to buy Skylanders DO NOT GO HERE. These prices were exorbitant, I understand they are a business who needs to make a profit but charging $30 for a Skylander that would sell for $2.99 just about anywhere else is absurd. Disc-Replay is a great spot, their Skylanders are $1.99 across the board and are buy 3 get 3. Anyways, I parse through the ones he has rung up because I wasn't about to spend $300 dollars on Skylanders I knew I could find cheaper. So I pick out the few that I do actually want to buy despite the price because from what I understand they are hard to find and I end up still paying too much money for what I get. On my way home I don't get more than 5 mins away before I feel like I'm going to throw up because of how much money I spent. So I swallow my pride turn around and ask for a refund, I would even take a partial refund if that would be better for them. But no, even though I was there 10 mins ago the product cannot be returned and I am left to drive home for an hour thinking about how dumb I am for making the purchase and how stupid it is that I couldn't get any money back. Please change your policy's or get a bigger sign that...
Read moreSince Reaction Games went defunct, it has left a vacuum in my life for a locally owned retro game store. Sure there are other used stores in the area but they don't focus solely on video games, don't clean and test the games, and their inventory is pretty much based on what gets traded in. The thing that was so great about Reaction was their passion for the hobby. They would constantly go to expos and stock up on best sellers and rare finds. This insured their customers would most likely find exactly what they were looking for. I was happy to find that vibe was exactly the same with Media Exchange. I also found out they had purchased all of Reaction's old inventory, which was great! If you are a retro game collector, this is the best store in the area. The staff is knowledgeable and I've never seen so many systems represented equally. Please support these guys, because places like this aren't just stores, they're a big part of the culture. And it's always a shame when something like that is lost...
Read moreMy daughter dropped and broke her 2DS, she took it in to Media Exchange and they were able to answer all our questions about both repairing the device and replacing it. We were confident that replacing it was the best choice, as the repair cost was more costly. They provided excellent much information on the specs of her device and on a couple like devices specs with the good and the bad of each. We later surprised our daughter with the replacement for hers. We are in our late 50's and know nothing about these new gaming devices, with a daughter in her young 20's there's pressure to get it right. We nailed it out of the park. It was exactly what she wanted to upgrade to. Big thank you to Media Exchange and the information they shared with us, and one day when the guys working there get older, they and many of you reading this will know what kind of a big deal this is, as a parent getting it right!...
