Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came at 5:30 pm after leaving the urgent care that was 45 min away to pick up my small child's medication. The prescription had been sent in by e-script by the physician I work with at the urgent care where my child had been seen, and I'd been shown the confirmation that the pharmacy did have the prescription. I showed up and asked for it, and Savannah at the pharmacy rudely snipped at me that they didn't have anything in the system. I asked that she check again since I had seen and heard of this issue at the pharmacy not refreshing their system and because I saw one -scrips myself that the prescription was sent to and received by the pharmacy. She checked and was very obviously annoyed and told me, āWell, it will take 2 hours to get these ready.ā Two hours for a pre-filled bottle of liquid antibiotics and eye drops? Okay fine. I was supposed to receive a text but since it had been over two hours and I hadn't heard anything I came back- this time through the drive-thru at 7:45 pm. Now Savannah was at the window. I pulled up and asked for my child's medication. Again mind- that you 2 hours to print the labels for pre-filled bottles. They are not ready. She walks away from the window to speak to another woman working while they look over at me and giggle and print labels. She then came back to the window to ask me to pull to the back of the line so they could mix the antibiotics and call about the eye drops for clarification on the instructions. So please tell me what the two hours were for? Clearly nothing. Just trying to make it more difficult for the patients. This isn't uncommon to hear about or to happen at any pharmacy and thankfully I only needed the antibiotics last night so I told her she could go ahead and mix it but I was not pulling to the back of the line to wait for that. Savannah clearly had not done her job in the first place and had actually been deliberately trying to delay the process for my child's medication. For what purpose I'm unsure. As someone who works in healthcare and is in school for law, thankfully I'm more than aware of my rights as a patient and also know the system, and when someone is trying to take advantage of maybe someone who wouldn't know.
Better communication and some training for employees could be useful here. And if you're going to giggle and laugh try not to make it so blatantly obvious when the person is sitting directly at your window and seeing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLady at the front, (I didn't get her name but she wears glasses with shorter hair, she is AMAZING and so kind!!) this is NOT about her. The manager at this location, I didnāt get his name but I believe his name is on the side of the building, is an unprofessional, childish, weird dude. Backstory, I used to work at the CVS across the street, and I was never the best customer service rep toward the customers. I wasnāt in a great place mentally, and it showed in my service and I regret how I used to act towards people in my city everyday. (If youāre one of them and you came across this review, Iām genuinely sorry.) This dude was one of the guys who complained about me. Totally understandable given how I was, but over the years since that happened Iāve seen him in Walgreens a few times, and Iāve always tried to mend fences with him because unlike him, Iām mature. Today was the worst example and itās the straw that broke the camelās back. I go into the store to get what I need, and I accidentally walked in front of his stocking cart while I was walking out of the aisle, an honest mistake that I apologized immediately for. I then asked him how he was doing, again just trying to mend those fences, and this childish dude rolled his eyes, closed them, sighed in my face, and pushed the cart almost into my leg to get around me. I never leave reviews like this because I understand (trust me Iāve been there) that people go through a lot, but a manager acting like this? For years? Over ONE bad experience with me that I have apologized for before? Nah man, youāre weird for that. Iāve never seen a manager as unprofessional as this dude. Please for all of your sakes go to CVS across the street, Shannon White is a MUCH better manager than this dude. Again, older lady up front, short hair, glasses? You rock and thank you for being kind!! Mr. āManagerā? Cry me a river bro. š Glad I called corporate on you and it made my day seeing that other people in our beautiful city think the same of you. Your favorite CVS...
