accused my sister of stealing because she was ‘clutching’ some of the rocks she picked out, and left a black pendent with the other rocks, as she chose a larger cheaper stone of the same material. Just because she put a smaller more expensive pendant back for a larger cheaper stone doesn’t mean she had intentions of stealing it, coming up to her and shaming her and embarrassing her because of something you assumed. it was very easy to tell she was shopping and not stealing, she was even wearing a ruby pendant she had bought for this shop. to honestly profile college students isn’t cool, if an older woman was “clutching” rocks, i guarantee you that the male worker wouldn’t make inappropriate comments about that jacket and clothes she was wearing, insinuating that you’re profiling her because of what she’d wearing. so embarrassing that he continued to make comments to her out loud to essentially embarrass her, “oh i thought you weren’t buying anything” “you don’t have that pendent, i wonder where that went” “how about you go get that pendant for me” making her walk back to essentially prove she didn’t pocket the pendent. it was 40 degrees out, of course she was wearing a large jacket, maybe you should instal security cameras around your shop so you can make sure you don’t keep inappropriately profiling people, this is a mom and pop shop, but there’s more welcoming, none accusatory rock and mineral shops around. if you don’t wanna be profiled and have embarrassing, inappropriate comments thrown at you by the owners go...

Today me and my friend went Here To buy beads for Bracelets, We had been in the store for a while because I was having trouble Choosing colors when a male employee came up to us and asked us to leave, We were very confused, but put all of The items we had picked out back and walked to the door when the employee followed us and stood at the door with us, we shrugged while he stared at us and he told us “well you didn’t put up a fight” Trying to insinuate that this was us admitting to guilt rather than just trying to avoid conflict in a public place, he went on to tell us that he “didn't like the way we were shopping” And tried to accuse us of stealing saying “I watched you put stuff in your pockets” Which we absolutely did not do, And we told him this and even turned out our pockets as proof. but he still stood at the door, waiting for us to leave and “That if he’s in the wrong that he’s sorry” This was a very upsetting and rude interaction, and though I am aware that teenagers stealing is very common during this time, I don’t think that we were treated fairly In this very rude and presumptuous interaction. This really does break my heart as I’ve been going here since I was a very little kid, and I never would’ve imagined stealing from this store, But I will not be coming back and do not advise that anybody go to this store as evidently, the employees are not...
