A-1 Market — Local services in Grants Pass

I've been living in this neighborhood for 11 years . I love a1 ., but recently the gentlemen who works at night. Has been really rude ,I went in and purchased a2dollor large cup for a fountain drink,and went to get my soda and it was flat,No Carbonation, so I sad this soda is flat , and the man says ya I know ,I said then why did u sell me a soda cup if you knew it wasn't right , I said we'll can i get my 2 dollars back .. ..?? He says No.I was flabbergasted, he says n ext time you come get the soda, so i said so your gonna keep my 2 dollars and I'm gonna walk outta here with nothing ?he says yes no refund,I've yet to receive my soda. My n e ighbor also had a similar experience with this man.so I go to a1 with my last 2 dollars and he straight jacked me, and that's very bad customer Service,, knowing that he sold me a drink that had no Carbonation and the refusing to refund my money.? This is one of my favorite stores to stop by for a quick pickup of things when I don't want to deal with the lines in Safeway. As a 13 year, and counting, cancer survivor, I have switched my diet to more Mediterranean and Indian food. They have the best selection of Indian food staples in town. And in most cases, their prices are comparable, or less than the grocery stores, and even Amazon. I will buy my Basmati rice at their store only - best quality and prices. Staff has always been kind and pleasant. I had bought some Indian food staples and left an item behind. I went into the store a couple weeks later and they saw me come in and ran up to me with the forgotten item. This place is not great. It's located less than a block from where I work, so unfortunately most of the time it's my only option. But there are many things on the shelves that are way past expired, and they freeze food that's normally supposed to be kept thawed, so that they can prolong its shelf life, though that does nothing to change the expiry date. The gentleman that runs the store is usually on his phone, and if not, still did everything he can to avoid acknowledging customers, even going so far as to stare at the ceiling while ringing somebody up.
