I DO NOT HAVE TO TELL ANYONE I HAVE SERVICE ANIMALS NOR DO I HAVE TO USE LOBBY! Worst stay ever! Service animals NOT welcome people with disabilities ARE discriminated against at full force. Forced to show proof of PSA threatened to get kicked out in middle of night 5hours away from home. Kellie the GM who says she knows all the laws because she's been working in the same spot for 35 years but my thing is she's a GM not a cop, or attorney or judge so I'm thinking maybe she doesn't know all the laws like she tried to bully me into believing. Any it says online that service animals are welcomed it doesn't say anything about you have to tell the front desk an you have to walk through the lobby because they cameras at the side door are broken. It's not a law I have to go through the lobby or tell you I have service animals. I recorded the whole thing too. The bigger girl with blonde-ish hair on first shift wants to say I when that is a lie you didn't know I had them because they are service animals and don't act up. It's not a law I have to tell you I have service animals like the GM kept trying to say it was. It is common sense to not treat customers like any 3 of the ladies here did the lady on night shift with messed up teeth kept trying to say I had emotional support animals and I never said that. The thing was they thought they were in the right an that I was trying to sneak dogs in but when I told them they were service animals the dark hair had teeth one said emotional support animals are not welcomed here! She did raise her voice also so I kindly said and they are not they are service animals registered through the ADA and they still kept trying to say they were emotional support animals and they were going to kick us out an charge us if anything was messed up. But the thing is when we got their I brought my own cleaning supplies and vacuum cleaner my own bed sheets my own blankets my own everything. I went in an deep cleaned the room b4 any of my stuff went into it b4 my service animals touched anything everything was covered with my stuff. I also deep cleaned b4 we left because she kept threatening to charge me for cleaning so I recorded myself cleaning. So nothing can be said not only are my service animals trained I also had diapers on them in case emergency or anything. The workers here are NOT trained in dealing with people that have disabilities like it says on the website. So that is false advertising at it finest right there. Which since Kellie has been a GM at super 8 for 35 years she knows everything an all the laws an she knew what she was doing was against the law an she had NO right to keep threatening me until I was forced to email proof of my service animals. Because their I.D cards weren't good enough even though I do not have to show anything. When I said they are PSA psychiatric service animals an then answered ur questions about how the aid me with my disabilities. That should have been enough I shouldn't have been pushed to that point. Then she has a rude mouth well they all do. Just because your cameras are broken an you don't want to fix them doesn't mean I was sneaking anywhere I don't go through lobby's anywhere an their isn't a law saying I have to like the GM was trying to convince me their was. Smfh this place is the last place I'd ever recommend to anyone. I wouldn't even stay here if every other hotel/motel was on fire. I didn't sleep at all because I was threatened by the GM which triggered my issues an I have been none stop vomiting ever since. U didn't know my service animals were there because they were doing their jobs. And its sad the way yal felt all high an might yelling at me on recording an thinking yal are above me. Until I was forced by threat's to show proof than all the sudden the older lady at night wants to try be fake with me an try act like we're friends.. ummm no never would I be friends with someone who tried to switch my words right in front on me on recording as I'm literally telling you what I said. That's so unprofessional an...
Read moreUpdate:Checked out a day early after being discriminated against for having a crying toddler. I received a call to my room from the manager informing me that a customer complained about my crying baby and that I needed to make him stop screaming. When I asked how she suggested I make my baby stop crying she said well I don’t know but I can’t have him up there screaming all day (note we had only been in our room for 5 minutes when I received this call) when I suggested I leave she said perhaps it would be for the best for me to check out if I couldn’t control my son. So I told her that she needed to refund me my money and I would leave and she agreed. While checking out she said to me that she didn’t ask for me to leave I responded no you didn’t ask me to leave but you did suggest it was for the best and I asked her if she had any children of her own and she said no but if I did they wouldn’t be up there screaming like my child was. I was very angry and shocked at the amount of disrespect and discrimination thrown in my direction by this woman. Super 8 in Greenfield Indiana lost a 10 year loyal customer. I’m sad to say I won’t ever be staying at this lovely hotel again! Please if you have children under 5 who cry beware before booking!!! They need to put up a sign that says crying children not welcome here! I’m extremely hurt and disappointed. Response to managers response: Kellie Did you seriously email me to insult my intelligence? I don’t want to hear from you again unless it’s A. An apology or B. Your bosses contact information. My husband and I are discussing taking this to the media and local news because of the lack of hospitality and the amount of discrimination we received from you. My husband is an army veteran and currently an over the road truck driver who saves the lives of thousands of rescue animals by hauling them from kill shelters in the south to their new families in the New England states and sometimes to Seattle Washington. I suffer from severe generalized anxiety disorder and depression and you have sent my mental health into a downward spiral thanks to your unbelievable amount of disrespect and rudeness that you showed me and my young child after we’d traveled nearly 700 miles on not only a holiday weekend but race weekend as well so you did this knowing there were no other rooms available anywhere around for us to stay so we slept in my car that night. My son wasn’t crying because he wanted out of the room my son was crying because he was and is still sick with a head and chest cold and it was his nap time. He did try to get out a couple of times but again I don’t feel or believe that that was any of your business. There wasn’t 15 minutes of this, maybe 10 at most, and that’s pushing it. People don’t just go to hotels to sleep. We’re all paying customers not just the sleeping ones. And we all have a right to be there and a right to be treated with a certain amount of respect. You did not specifically say “control your child” what you said was that if I couldn’t control my child that maybe it was best for me to leave. That statement is not of lesser disrespect than the other. That amongst many other rude unnecessary comments and remarks that you made. My husband and I have been using this hotel for 10 years and up until now it has been a true pleasure visiting but after the disrespect and discrimination you showed us we will never again return and I don’t know that we can let this go. You could have just as easily left it at there’s been a complaint and I understand that these things happen can you please and respectfully try your best to quiet down. But I guess that common courtesy was me expecting to much! You can’t make children who don’t feel good and who aren’t happy to stop crying at the drop of a dime. That driver had a truck he could have slept in I had nothing but a car and the room I paid for, for 2 nights, you also could have moved us...
Read moreI had a one night stay here on a weekend night. I got a single room with a king-sized bed for $88 plus taxes and any other fees.
The room had a bathroom with a shower/tub & toilet with a separate vanity/dressing area as well as a place to hang clothes and ample drawer space. Also included was a hairdryer, microwave, coffee pot, (which did not have coffee provided, but may at times - I'm unsure), a refrigerator with a tiny freezer to make ice, a lounge chair, desk area and several sources of lighting throughout the room. Free WiFi is also provided.
The room decor had a modern feel and color scheme, which included a large photo of Indianapolis above the bed, which doubled as the headboard. I rather enjoyed this feature for some local flair.
The best feature of the room was the cleanliness. I've stayed in many hotels and do not think I've had a room as clean as this. Many years ago I worked in a hotel as a member of the housekeeping staff so I know what constitutes a TRULY clean room - the many little details most guests may never notice. I did notice and was impressed enough to leave a note complimenting their extreme attention to these little details.
There is a free continental breakfast served near the lobby each morning. I did not partake, but know some of the items offered include waffles you make yourself, cereal, muffins, juices, etc. Since I didn't take advantage of this, I do not know the entire menu - but saw a decent variety of items while walking by. Another 'ground floor amenity' is an indoor pool. I did not use this facility so can't really rate it specifically, but did want to mention it is available for guests who stay here.
The lobby is warm and inviting with a fireplace and several places to sit with some coffee and converse with your own people or other guests. The front desk staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, and were all willing to go the extra mile to make my stay a pleasant one.
Overall, I had quite a comfortable and enjoyable stay here and hope to get the opportunity to stay again soon. A great value for the price - I would recommend this hotel, especially over others in the...
