Make sure you're advocating for your loved ones. Especially your beloved elders. Don't let anyone take advantage of them or treat them as a non-priority. Especially after a business has happily accepted their hard earned money.
If you're dealing with the furniture store, that's either located in Terrace Shopping Center or next door to Terrace Shopping Center make sure that you get everything in writing and make sure that your follow-up game is STRONG. Perhaps, show up like I did today to assure that business is handled. Be sure to take pictures or video of what you pay for because bait and switch tactics ARE REAL (they tried it 🤬).
I was inside the store on June 25th for the purchase and again today on June 30th due to poor communication and literally zero resolution efforts on their behalf until I showed up in their store. I looped my sister in for text support because I had a clear picture of where this particular customer service experience was headed.
By the time this entire ordeal concluded, my pinched nerves, sciatica and I had helped REMOVE half of the order that was brought into the home because it was NOT what my loved one ordered or purchased (I caught the "error" of the cheaper product thanks to my sight, feel and video that I recorded while in the store during the selection and purchase of the items). And then I assisted unloading and moving in the large, heavy and correct piece of furniture once the ONE delivery person came back to the home the SECOND time. My sister assisted with lifting a separate piece as well. We were literally part of the delivery team at this point.
The delivery fee was refunded per my request. But never did my special loved one receive a thank you for spending her hard-earned money there or an apology for the entire botched ordeal.

I attempted to purchase a bedroom set and paid $2,000 in cash and the other $1,100 was to be financed through SNAP finance. Unfortunately, the delivery date was June 29, 2020 and when they attempted to deliver the dresser it was damaged. Therefore, the delivery guy and I agreed he was taking the dresser and mirror back to the store and he would have them order a new dresser and mirror set to be delivered. When I called to follow up with the delivery guy's and I discussion, they completely had no idea of what I was speaking of. They then verified he didn't deliver the dresser and mirror, then stated they will order another one. They advised within the next 2 weeks I should have received it. Two weeks passed and I called to follow up then they stated they don't know when I will be receiving the dresser or mirror. I waited for another week, then called back and asked for a refund since they still don't know when the purchased merchandise will be received and delivered. They refused. Here it is 8/11 they still don't have a date nor have I received back a refund for the dresser and mirror. The women who sits in the back will continuously tell you the owner of the store isn't here or unavailable. He never returned any of my calls and have never attempted to reach out to me about his store nor their service. They've avoided my phone calls and have even hung up on me several times. Even though they have a beautiful furniture selection their service level is the worst I've ever received. There are plenty other furniture places in Greenville to consider. Read moreMade a very large purchase on September 23, 2024, and furniture was delivered the following day. We were shorted a single nightstand that went with the bedroom set we chose. Was told day of delivery we should receive it within a week or so. A couple of weeks went by and I still had not heard anything so on October 8th I called, she checked with manufacturing company and told me it would be approximately 2-3 more weeks at most but they would call the second it came in to schedule delivery. As of October 31st, I still hadn't gotten any calls, so I again called. She said it would be delivered November 4th after 5 or 6 pm but that the driver would contact me to let me know they were on the way. It is now November 7th, and still no nightstand, so I have to call again today. To clarify this very large order... a full bedroom set with king sized mattress and box springs, and gentleman's chest and a large dresser that included *2 nightstands (we only have 1) a large sectional sofa, another full sized couch, 2 large pull up coffee tables and 2 large cabinets to place tvs on. There were absolutely no issues taking our CASH payment, but there is an issue receiving all of the merchandise we paid for. I received a nightstand today with a handwritten apology note.
