As a bar it's mid. Nothing on draft, an average selection of liquors. I have not yet tried the food, but the fellow next to me had a sampler plate that looked really good. He told me they have a buffet every Sunday, which I am going to look into next time I visit.

The place opens at 4 or 4.30. Within an hour, the joint is packed, and the atmosphere is lively but discreet, and contagious. Good music, good people, a good general environment. It's easy to make friends in a place like this, even if only temporary ones for the night.

Be advised this is a black bar. There ain't nothing wrong with that, in fact I prefer it, but in the 3 hours I spent there I was the only white person I saw the whole time. Again, nothing wrong with that, but if that sounds like something you ain't into then take a pass on this place.

Dear 1243 I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent visit to your establishment. Despite hearing great things about your location, the service fell far below expectations.

During our visit, the bartender seemed more interested in social media than attending to customers and generating revenue. My sister and I, there to celebrate her birthday, were left unserved and neglected.

As a first-time patron, I had hoped for a memorable experience, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend your establishment to others based on this visit.

Sometimes it's hard to get a drink from certain bartenders because they too busy assisting their favorites! Or they don't want to serve you because it's not her section after you stood in front of them waiting to be served. The food is good when Darlene is there. But one thing I hate is how some of the bartenders or the owner be all in your personal life. You don't get paid to be in other ppls business. I come to get a drink not to be aggravated about who I talk to! They need to learn how to treat ppl how they would like to be treated.
