Read moreI did love this place until I had a very negative experience there yesterday evening. I work at the hospital around the corner and a coworker of mine had purchased a “too good to go” bag from there. She had to leave work early and told me I could grab it and share with my kids. My son loves pastries so I was really looking forward to surprising him. After walking down there the staff member wouldn’t allow me to pick it up without the confirmation number. I had used the too good to go app and never had anybody ask for the confirmation number before so I was caught off guard. I stepped aside and texted my friend and waited to hear back. While waiting I saw two other people come and get a total of 3 bags from there. I waited about ten minutes went to the counter and asked if I could just give her name since she must be busy cause she wasn’t replying. I even attempted to show her the texts between my friend and I, but she wasn’t interested in helping me in any way. I gave it another 5 minutes and left because I had to get home to walk my dog and as I was walking to the car my friend called me back. I explained the situation and she went to find the code and then it said that there were no longer any bags to give. So as I was sitting there she gave the bags to somebody else since clearly more bags are reserved than they actually have. It was a pretty frustrating experience and awful customer service. I definitely will...
Read moreI hate making negative reviews, but extremely underwhelmed today. Ordered food off grubhub from the restaurant. I listed how I have some allergies and the service was VERY kind to call me and make sure I am ok with some of the items. My review had nothing to do with the staff that went out of their way to call me to make sure I could eat what they wanted to send. Unfortunately, I think the food was wayyy off. The biscuit I ordered tasted chewy and stale (and didn't receive the $1 butter with it that I ordered - I got that part refunded through grubhub). The side of chicken was under-seasoned (and unfortunately packaged inside my side salad (never asked for this and it was for someone else that's not eating the salad so I had to remove their chicken from my greens) and both were ordered as sides on the app and nothing that implied that they would be packaged together. The balsamic dressing on my salad was WAYYYY too peppery. It was all that I could taste. The espresso tasted burnt in my iced drink. I don't know if it was an off day, but for what I paid and for tip on delivery I had to force myself to eat every bite because I wasn't going to waste food that I spent a lot of money on. The only very tasty thing was the pearl...
