Very disappointed in Steifles. I purchased a new refrigerator last May. Monday it started struggling to keep temperature and started making noises. I called to request a service call and was told it would be the end of the week before someone could come. Tuesday morning my husband went to Steifles at 0800 to purchase a part to repair it ourselves even though it was under warranty. Desperate to not lose all of our food. He was given a replacement part and my husband installed it. However it was the compressor that needed replaced. So was told that the part was ordered and would take a few days to come in. Thursday was the day the repair technician was supposed to come. He was an hour late.
So we contacted Steifles and was told that he was given an emergency call and was headed our way. However he contacted us at 5pm to tell us he was sent to an emergency service call and he wouldn’t have time to replace it. How were we not an EMERGENCY? We didn’t have a working refrigerator for 4 days. When we contacted the store we were given the run around as to why the technician couldn’t come. We were advised that management would contact us. No one contacted us!
The technician came at 0730 on Friday morning to do the repair. He was very professional and advised us to get the warranty. However I don’t trust that Steifles would respond to our call for service.
We have been customers for over 25 years. I think that communication is lost when a customer calls in for service. To many employees taking calls and not completing the paperwork to get the customers requests handled. The request on Monday was...
Read moreI hope to be able to update this review to increase my rating of Steifle’s Appliance. Back in February I contacted Steifle’s to repair my Whirlpool Gas Oven. When I called I provided my model and serial number along with the error code showing on the oven. When the technician arrived and did not have the correct part. We had to wait another 10 days for a part. The repair was made and the oven appeared to be working correctly. This month, March, another problem the oven will not cool down when turned off. I contacted Steifle’s again since they are about the only service for gas stoves in Greenwood and scheduled an appointment for today 3/23/18 between 3pm and 5pm. When 5 pm came I contacted the office and they checked with their technicians who said they came by, knocked but no one was home. I was and still am along with my two small dogs that certainly would bark if anyone knocked. Additionally I do have doorbells on the front and back doors. Well they rescheduled me for next Wednesday at 4:30( I did get to pick the time so I wouldn’t have to take 2 hours of leave again!). I will review again next week, hopefully it will be for the better.

Great News! The technician from Steifle's Appliance arrived early today for our appointment. He was the original tech that did the initial repair. He checked out the stove thoroughly and explained the the cool down process and the noise was all part of the blower unit on the stove. An employee from Steifle's also contacted me by phone and we discussed my earlier concerns. I am very satisfied with the service from Steifle's and will contact them again if need be.
