Shopping as a single dad of two is stressful enough as it is but I needed some back to school clothes for them and figured this would be a good first stop. I went in with my son and daughter and we picked out several new outfits. For some reason, they have gender specific fitting rooms completely across from each other and behind a corner so it’s impossible to keep an eye on both of my kids at the same time. My daughter is also 7 so she needs a bit of help getting some of the sets off the hangers that come connected to each other and also wants to get a second opinion on some of the clothing choices.
Anyways, I send my older son into the first fitting room on the men’s side and go with my daughter clear on the other side and around the corner to the women’s with my daughter. Nothing seemed to be an issue at first (because there wasn’t one). My daughter went into the first available fitting room on the women’s side which was halfway down the hallway and started trying on all her new outfits. She’d crack the door open after each one and see what I thought about the fit and whether she should go with a bigger or smaller size.
After 3-4 outfits, I go around the corner to check on my son and tell her I’ll be right back. Now there’s an employee standing there in between the two who doesn’t say anything. I make sure my son is okay quick and walk back down the hallway to check back in with my daughter in which the employee now rudely denies me from going back down the hallway. I explain to her my young daughter is all the way back there by herself and she argues that if she wants to come out here to show me she can but I can’t go over there. Sure, you tell me that now but how is she supposed to know that I’m no longer coming back to check on her? Mind you, the rooms are all behind locked doors with moms all waiting in the hallway just like I was and none of them had a problem with me being back there. This is the only clothing store I can think of where there are two separate fitting rooms for different genders. Makes absolutely no sense. I bet a single mom is allowed to go down the men’s hallway but god forbid a dad is allowed to check on his...
Read morelove the store but I would rather buy full price clothes than deal with the person in charge of the change rooms. very rude, did not explain things well, accused me of wanting to use the handicap changing room before I even headed towards the change stalls, and when I left the clothes I wasn't going to buy in the changing stall she made me turn around and bring them all out. I was under the impression that as the person working the changing rooms, that was her job. At least she could have explained it effectively beforehand and saved me some time. if you see any clothes you like and want a semi decent interaction with staff, I'd suggest going to any other store with a changing room. the teens at target are more...
Read moreI drive a 18 wheeler and these people made my job way more difficult than it needed to be. Its 18 degrees with 33mph wind. Ice on the ground. Snow. I docked at the door on the left. The guy watched me do it. I drop the trailer. Go grab my empty. As I'm hooking up to my empty I am told to put it at the other door. The same guy who watched me dock it told me to put it at the other door. I'm trying to get out of here to a safe haven because of the winter storm and they made it that much more...
