I had a terrible experience at the Gurnee location. My 17 year old son dropped his phone in the pool and went in to get it fixed (he’s a good polite kid) He called me and told me how much it would be and they assured him that he would have a warranty. They also sold him a new battery and replaced his screen. This cost $380. We only agreed to this because they promised a warranty. Unfortunately, the fix only lasted until the end of that day. He went back and they told him that they cannot fix it and that the motherboard was broken (a few days later) but that they would consider giving back the money for the battery and screen after they consult with the franchise. Since my son is 17, I decided to go to the store myself to get the refund. They treated me like garbage and laughed at me when I told them that they gave him a warranty and to replace the phone or the motherboard. They told me that my son insisted on a new screen and that the warranty was only for the screen itself. I’m sorry but I don’t think that even my 17 year old son would insist on a new screen and battery if he knew that the phone was shot. When I told the man that he scammed my son out of $380 and that they should have told him that the phone has a damaged motherboard (they are supposed to be the experts) he told me that the phone worked when he walked out and it’s not their problem. They completely took advantage of my son knowing that the motherboard was shot and not only did they charge him for the repair but they even sold him a battery and a new screen. Huge scam alert!!!!!! Also, the guy said he had cameras in the store and that he could show me that my son agreed to new battery and screen knowing that the phone was shot. When I said ok I’d like to see, he changed his mind. He later called my son and started badmouthing me to him. Terrible person with zero morals. I ended up buying my son a new phone and was told that whatever they did, they messed up because the battery inside the phone was bulging. Do not waste your time and money there. They will only help you when there is money in it for them.

In response to the response. Everything you said is a lie. My son went back for a resolution a few days later, to which you said that the motherboard was shot and you would be filing a claim to at least refund the battery. I came in to enquire about the refund or to see if the phone could still be fixed and was told that you wasted so much of your time with my son, and that you had to move appointments to accommodate him that you won’t do anything else to help. In fact, you said right to my face that if the phone worked when he walked out, you could care less that it stopped working an hour later. Therefore, saying that I wasted my time by writing this review and not seeking resolution is a complete lie. I don’t waste my time on nonsense but I want people to know how dishonest you were and how poorly you treated me. I really wish that you were as nice as how you made yourself sound/look in your response. That’s probably exactly how you were when you took my son’s money knowing that his phone was shot. Avoid this place at all costs!!! Dropped my PS4 off at ifixandrepair on 1/20/25. I explained to the guy at the front desk that my PS4 wasn't working and displayed an error message after turning on. He told me he would give me a call within 2 days and give me an idea of what was wrong with the ps4. After about 2 weeks of not receiving a call, I decided to stop in since I hadn't heard anything from them. He told me he wasn't sure and then went on to tell me he had a few other ps5's they were working on before mine. Originally, when I dropped it off, he had told me a completely different story that they were just working on one system before mine. He told me he would give me a call in a couple of days again. After another week and a half, I received no call from him. So I ended up calling him, and he started giving me the runaround again and told me he would talk to his tech guy and call me back in 30 minutes. After an hour of waiting for the call that never came, I called him again and just demanded that I get my ps4 back. Then, all of a sudden, he said it would be ready for pickup after 12:00 the next day for $80. I went to pick it up, and they said it was fixed and charged me $50. I figured they gave me a discounted rate because it took them a month, and they didn't communicate with me. I got home later that night and turned my ps4 onto the same error message that I dropped it off with. They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and charged me for it. I called the guy to tell him it wasn't fixed at all, and the guy was arguing with me on the phone telling me they cleaned it, and that's why they charged $50. I asked them specifically to fix the ps4 and make it work again, NOT clean it. The guy knew that we had never discussed anything about just cleaning it, and he was just playing stupid. What good does a clean ps4 do that doesn't work??? I can not express just how terrible my experience was at ifixandrepair located in Walmart in Gurnee. Stay away from this place. They are very dishonest people! Dropped my ps4 off 1/20. Got it back 2/19, and it still doesn't work, and they charged me $50. Absolutely terrible and this place should be shut down!!!...

Wife took a cheap kids phone here and vivek quoted her 150 for cracked screen repair. Said it would be done in 4 hours but next day he still waiting on parts. Realized the phone was 90 dollars new so canceled the repair since he hadn't even started fixing it. Went to get the phone back and he made the biggest fit about restocking fees and stuff. We Had a verbal altercation because he wouldn't release the phone. He finally returns my phone and I buy my own repair kit and open the phone.
