I went here on July 18th 2025, and Rebecca helped me find an appropriate chair for my upcoming shoulder surgery.
The surgeon told me to make sure I had something really comfortable to sit on because I would not be able to sleep in my bed for a while.
Rebecca showed me a Randall rocking recliner. I already had some idea of what I wanted from visiting the website. It had to be big, there had to be memory foam, and it had to have the reclining lever on the left, because my right arm is going to be in a sling and it will take months of recovery to get back to a point where I can use it fully again.
I was told the chair would "probably" be delivered no later than the first week of September, but I got a text message saying that it was ready for delivery on the first week of August, which is well ahead of my surgery. It came in much faster than what I was expecting.
There's only one problem I have with the chair. My cat, who was content with the massive foam bean bag I got off Amazon, has now decided that the chair is hers, and looks at me like "Get away hooman! This is mine now!". Maybe I should have gotten two.
I was extremely leery about buying furniture. The last time I laid out money on furniture, it didn't go well. I bought cheap and it seems I got what I paid for. There was an entire living room set at The Roomplace, which has since gone out of business.
The only reason the set from The Roomplace lasted as long as it did was because after the warranty was up, I had paid with my Citi card which had extended warranty, so on year two every time something from TRP crunched when you sat down, Citi had to reimburse me through that card benefit.
These days I use an AmEx Gold card and we're foodies so we use the food credits anyway, but it also has terrific extended warranty and purchase protection, so I paid for the chair at La-Z-Boy with that, in full, and that way if any of the mechanisms were to go out, I get another year from AmEx where they would foot the bill to fix it.
I always make major purchases on a card with these benefits, that way if it breaks down after the OEM warranty is over with, I've got a whole extra year (or more) where it's the credit card company's problem, not mine. This helps me a lot because when I'm at Walmart or Amazon and those "extended warranty for $30" screens come up, I can just hit "Nope" and pay with that card.
I did buy a service plan from La-Z-Boy that covers spills, stains, and rips and punctures, and they do some sort of scotch guard coating. TBH I doubt I'll ever need it, because I immediately put a comfortable blanket over the chair to protect it.
It seems well built, and it is very comfortable. The delivery men showed me how to separate it into two pieces again later in case we move.
Overall, I recommend this store and plan to return if I need...
Read moreWe purchased a floor sample power recliner chair at the local renovation sale. Nice service from salesperson. Nice ended, however, as soon as there was an issue. Seemed like decent chair, but when we got the chair into our home, the motor was making a loud grinding sound to recline. When we called the store to report the issue immediately, we were poorly treated and only given an 800 number for service -no other options. The manager would not come to the phone or return our call. We called for service. Service said they could send a repair person in mid April!! What??!! This is January! I called back to the store next day again trying to reach manager for better options. Person who answered, pleasant but firm, repeated and repeated her recommend to call service. I asked for manager, but no manager would not take my call. Asked to speak to salesman-perhaps he could troubleshoot? Told he was busy. Left message and #, no return call. We bought this chair because our previous Lazy Boy broke and we’re still waiting for resolution to that problem even though we purchased the 5 year protection! Ok. I’ll stop, but the service is unacceptable, yet we have little recourse when no one will even discuss the issue with us. Further, considering we have two broken recliners, I’d say the products are inferior. Why didn’t I go to store to complain? We came down with Covid. Can’t make this up! The first time we called the 800 # service, the representative was confusing, but did give us the April appointment. To be fair, the 800 # service the next day was very pleasant but said appointments are backed up for 3months or more. Once we’re recovered physically, I’ll try the store again, but I’m frustrated. To return the chair, a 30% restocking fee is required. Not sure how this applies when the...

We bought a four piece furniture set a year ago. Within the first year the rocker blocks on both sides of my Randall recliner had detached. I called for service as it was still under warranty. I received a virtual inspection where the technician identified the issue.
The technician told me how to fix it myself which involved me having to do my own upholstery work which is not something I was comfortable with. When I asked how much it would be for a technician to come out he said it was an easy fix and that it would take less than an hour and would be about 100 dollars to fix and I would never have the problem again.
When I called to schedule the service I was then informed that I was "misquoted" and that the service was going to be 600 dollars and take 4 times longer than expected. they claim that the fix prescribed by the online tech was not possible with teh service people I have in my area. When I protested they did offer me half off the labor however this still seems sketchy.
An expensive La-Z-Boy should not be breaking within a year. When a service technician describes the problem and how to fix it the company should not walk it back and describe a second service solution that is 4 times more expensive. Overall, very disappointed with how this situation is handled leaving me out 330 dollars and without a chair for the better part of a month.
My other three pieces are holding up fine which is why this review is not one star. Even so I am not sure I would go back to La-Z-Boy after a pretty rapid failure for a...
