Update: 08/Jun/2017 Red Robin has contacted us and I feel they have been very sincere in their response. We appreciate a company reaching out to us and handling the situation in an extremely professional manner. Kudos to them for doing this. I wish more companies would have the same level of professionalism that they have shown.
Original Review: Let me preface this by saying we had gone to the Gurnee Illinois location several months ago. We placed our order and waited for over an hour for our food. We finally asked someone at the front why our order was taking so long. After another 15 minutes, we were told that our waitress had left for the day since her shift had ended. Apparently she had never put our order in, and no one was assigned to our table. Since we had plans we were already late for, we left.
Today, we decided to give this location another shot. We placed a To Go order for two Adults and two children.
1 x (13) Towering Onion Rings® 1 x The Southern Charm Burger + $2.24 in add-ons 1 x Black & Bleu Burger + $0.75 add-ons 1 x Pub Mac & Cheese + $2.99 in add-ons 1 x Kids meal (9) Corn Doggies
First off, The Southern Charm Burger was suppose to come pink, it came well done. It should have come with sweet potato fries as an add-on/substitution. It came with normal steak fries. The description said the "Black Angus patty glazed with brown sugar and topped with candied bacon." The patty did not come glazed and the bacon was normal bacon. We also selected that it come with pickles, but it did not.
The Black & Bleu Burger was suppose to come pink, it came well done. There was hardly any blue cheese on it, I was dry and extremely chewy. Picture included.
The Pub Mac and Cheese. $8 for a tiny little container that was for one of my children. Picture included. Seriously? Look at his thing! It was also dry according to my Son with very little flavor. This is not listed under the appetizers or kid's menu. It is under the tavern menu. Ridiculous!
The kid's meal corn dog's seemed fine except they forgot to include to drink that came with it!
We did contact the restaurant about our experience and was told by the Manager that they would refund us for the kid's drink and the add-on sweet potato fries if possible, whatever that means. However, we found this highly unacceptable. When so much went wrong with an order, and most of ended up in the trash, something more should have been done. We are highly disappointed with both of our experiences at this location and don't see us...
Read moreI was on vacation and decided to have lunch with my son(4yrs old) nephew(1year old) and two adult sisters. I am a loyal customer and bragged to my sisters how great Red Robin was I was wrong! Upon ordering drinks my sister asked our server to please have the bartender to remake the drink as there was so much syrup in her drink the margarita on the rocks was literally as thick as a frozen margarita! Our server took the drink back and returned saying " I told the bartender but he said he's just going to make it the same way so I can just take it off your check if you want" that was strike 1 all the bartender had to do was make another drink with less syrup. Our food arrives to the table and my 1 year old nephew throws a 1 minute tantrum over dipping sauce when dining with children that is expected. About 1 minute after my nephews tantrum our server came to the table and asked if everything was okay we said yes and continued to eat I didnt think anything of it. 30 seconds later a manager comes to our table asking the same question I said yes we are okay again and we continued eating, not even a full 30 seconds after that a 3rd person, another manager came to the table and asked " if everything was okay" now I am well aware that other patrons pay their money and don't want to be disturbed and if my nephew had been screaming for a hour I'd understand their concerns but this is unacceptable! Is it a crime now for 1 year old children to cry in a restaurant ? Or was it just the color of his skin that caused confusion ? I asked the 2nd manager what the issue was that so many people came to our table within such a short time frame to ask the same question and she stated " oh we check on everyone's table" this woman walked straight from the back to our table not once did she ever look at another table I then told her that. I asked if there was an issue because my nephew had cried she once again said that was not the issue but her face turned flustered and she went back into the back and we never seen her again. I have never felt so uncomfortable , it's already embarrassing enough when your children throw tantrums we as parents know his but it's even worse when someone makes you feel like you should be embarrassed about it needles to say Red Robin has lost all business from my family...
Read moreRed Robin is a usually a staple restaurant for my family to dine in. It has been our tradition to dine here after we visit 6 flags for over 10 years. Tonight was no different except our experience with this location was extremely disappointing!
From the moment we walked in our party felt unwelcome and like we were an inconvenience. The host at the greeting station was not very friendly. We were told there would be a 10 min wait but it was longer, closer to 20 min. The restaurant was not full, we are not not sure why we were asked to wait. Possibly due to staff , of if so that's understandable our party has no issues with that however there was a larger party who arrived not to long after we were seated and they were seated immediately.
From the moment we were shown to our seat the hostess from the front again was not friendly we had 2 younger children with us and had to reminder her about high chairs , which was requested when we first checked in and we felt like an inconvenience asking for asking her.
They ran out of children menus but didn't communicate it until we asked to order food for the younger children.
Our waitress was kind but not very attentive. There were long periods where she did not come around . We were never asked for refills for beverages or fries. We also had to ask for boxes for food that was left over. Our kiosk was not working when it was time to pay the bill we had to ask for receipt to insure our orders were correct before submitting payment. The waitress wanted to take our cards without giving us a receipt.
My husband used the restroom when we arrived and they were NOT clean and not well attended too, lacking tissue, broken toilets, urine on the floor.
Overall from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt like a burden and inconvenience.
This was a very negative experience
Very disappointed and dissatisfied with the...
