I am not one to give bad reviews so this is more about sharing my experience. Purchased a treadmill on line 3 weeks ago. The promo also included free delivery. The product was originally slated for a 3-19 delivery. That delivery date came and went with no call, no show. I did receive an email the next day saying it was rescheduled till the 23rd which also came and went without a treadmill being delivered. No call, no show number two. So again I receive a email stating a delivery for the 25th.. Guess what ?? This time I receive a email the day of the delivery postponing it till the 25th. I called customer service and talked with a Dick's employee who promised he straightened it out and set me up for the following day. STRIKE 4.. The next day comes and another email stating that they just were not coming.. So I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CANCELED. What bothered me about the customer service aspect was every Dick's employee I talked to was very open about how bad their outside delivery service was. They are at the mercy of a delivery company named Pilot. The service reps both went into detail about how bad they are, never making scheduled deliveries and that Dick's was crazy to still be using them. My last question before I canceled was " If you know that they are leaving your customers hanging. Why do you still use them. I took a total of two days off from work. I heard the words I am sorry 20 times with no resolution. I actually asked if I do not cancel when can I be guaranteed a delivery. The rep total me at this point they did not feel comfortable guaranteeing any delivery date. I am writing this review only to save another consumer from going through the same issues.. DO NOT GET ANYTHING DELIVERED FROM DICK'S SPORTING GOODS.. They just do not stand behind...
Read moreNicely set up and good selection. Very quiet almost no one was there. We were looking at treadmills. An employee stood in the corner looking at things on the wall about 15 feet away from us while we looked at a handful of treadmills for about 10 minutes. Maybe he was neatening up things that were already perfectly neat. He was not restocking. I honestly thought he was just watching us to see if we were stealing anything at first- but how can you steal a treadmill? My friend had to go over to him and ask if he worked there to get some help( he was wearing a tag around his neck, otherwise I honestly thought he was a shopper just standing in the corner there ). I found his total lack of interest in shoppers who had questions off-putting. Just wave and say hey I’m over here if you need help. We were almost the only people in the store. We were trying to figure out how to turn the treadmill on, make them work. The whole while him standing in the corner doing nothing , ignoring us. When my friend approached him and asked for a key( we figured out a key was needed to start the treadmills) he went and got the box of keys but only had 1 that he could find. Got the golden ticket email and the “your bike is ready” text. Sent my dear husband like the hero he is… only to discover the bike was not assembled. He spoke with an employee in the bike section who said that the assembler was on his break. So, the “your bike is ready” messages were wrong.
I called to speak with the manager, hoping for a little cheer and support. Nope. She called me “ma’am” a few times and let’s be real, in 2025 that word stings. It’s so condescending.
Pro tip for fellow online shoppers: if you order a bike for pick up at Dick’s, give it at least an hour before you roll up. Or call in advance to make sure it’s already assembled. And whatever you do, don’t ask for...
