I was disappointed with my store experience as the Store Rep that “helped” me with my purchases, overheard my and I discuss AT&T’s offer of 20% off if I bought a trio of accessories (Item #s 4924P, 4682R, 4261R) versus purchasing the same or similar items on Amazon. The same Store Rep eavesdropped on our conversation, neither my friend nor I directed a question to her in regards to prices of the accessories in the store relative to Amazon, but the Store Rep felt it necessary to interrupt us and mention that cost of the accessories with a discount AT&T was offering, would “be about the same on Amazon.” Was I ever wrong to trust her. I could’ve purchased the exact same iPhone case, Speck Presidio2 Grip with MagSafe Case, for $19.99 on Amazon, $35.01(64%) less than AT&T store original price, and $24.01(56%) less than with the 20% discount AT&T was offering. I could have purchased an MFi(Made For iPhone) certified Single Port USB-C 20 Watt Power Deliver Wall Block which also happened to include a convenient Lightning Charging USB-C cord that was 2x the length of the cord provided with my new iPhone 13 that I purchased that day. I would have saved $11.05 (55%)over AT&T stores’s regular price and $7.05(44%) from their “20% off Triple Accessory In-Store Purchase” offer. I’ll admit I had full intention of purchasing a tempered glass antimicrobial screen protector and watch the Store Rep apply it so if she damaged my newly purchase new iPhone 13 in the process, I wouldn’t be responsible, so I paid $36 for it, $9 off the regular price of $45. One can find items similar to these for $7 from several places on Amazon. Had the Store Rep told me the “lifetime replacement agreement” included an $8.50 charge each time I have the protector replaced, I may have decided to install it myself. @ $8.50 a pop, it’s obvious that AT@T loses nothing with the life time agreement, and makes out very well with the initial $45 cost. To sum this up, had I trusted my instinct and ignored the untruths from the mouth of the Store Rep, I would have purchased just the screen protector from the AT&T store, and the Wall Block and Speck Case from Amazon, in turn saving myself $25.25 ($102 - $76.75) or 25% from the “bargain” the Store Rep offered me. IMO this isn’t semantics; I interpret “about the same” within 5%, not 25%. If 25% is “about the same” and it’s more than 20%, than AT&T’s entire promotion is meaningless as 20% off is “about the same as their normal outrageous store prices. Next visit I will not be purchasing any accessories from the AT&T store unless they offer 76% off, as only then would their prices “be about the...
Read moreBad experience but it's the closest store. Scotty...nice guy BUT only out to sell you the latest while lying to you about trade in values. I was told by Scotty (The assistant Manager) that my 2 iPhones would receive max credit for a trade in. He ran it through his iPad to double check because 1 had a small crack on it. Yup even with the crack you will get full credit... So I traded for 13 pros instead of a 13's because it would be no cost. Phones were not it stock so they shipped them to the house and then we were to bring the old phones to process the trade. (Issues with shipping but that is not what this is about) Brought the phones in for trade and was told they would not qualify for the full trade???? Well why did you tell me that they would when I bought the new phones. Seems like a shady process to sell more expensive phones. When I told him what he said just a week and a half earlier he said there was nothing he could do. "The computer tells us what the value is." Yes it does and Scotty, then you lie to your customers about what the value has to be to get full credit until you process that order!!! Call corporate to see if they can do something for you because I don't care about you anymore... Thanks Scotty I did call corporate to see what they could do and to let them know that they have some shady...
Read moreHonestly, this is the best store to go to. If you are Public Safety (Fire/EMS/Police etc.) then go to this store and try to get the associate Natasha and ask her about “FirstNet”. This is hands down one of the best networks for public safety and it’s discounted for us first responders. I have had amazing coverage and saw a difference instantly in the town I work as a firefighter. I opened my account in Meriden, CT and it was all messed up. They messed up an order on my phone and my other phone was in limbo. Natasha, with help of her managers, took 4 hours with me to get everything squared away and in good standing. I left there confident that I had the best service. She went over each thing that would be on my account and when I would see it and said to reach out with any questions. It’s nice to have people who not only care about getting a sale but care about taking care of you and assuring everything is set and ready for you.
So again, if you are public safety and want to switch or are thinking of switching take it from me, it’s a great service at a discounted rate for first responders. The people in this store, especially Natasha and her management from my experience are great to work with and will help you in every way they can. 10 out of 10 if I could do that. THANK...
