Color Me Mine — Local services in Hallandale Beach

I did already have an experience in Color Me Mine in another place where I brought my entire team which was great!! This time, I wanted to do my daughter’s birthday in the Aventura location. I did prebook the package for 10 kids for $320, visited the place to have a better idea and talk to someone to have more details. The lady mentioned she would remove all the boxes and stuff to allow the birthday to be successful. On birthday day, I arrived and the birthday table wasn’t ready, the setup table was full of stuff and boxes which didn’t help to setup the birthday. As included in the package, I was there 30min in advance to setup but could not do it, I literally had 5-10min to setup everything. My daughter arrived for her birthday as well as my guests and nothing was ready. A fully loaded 6x6 foot palet was stuck to the birthday table which I asked to be removed and they didn’t (believe me, this palet looks great on all the birthday pictures…) All around the room and bellow tables were full of boxes which we could not circulate properly. I asked if we could use other table to put the presents since there were no space anywhere which they agreed! At the end, I wanted to review the bill as we extended 2h for the birthday (which by the way they started the activity with delay) The lady wanted to charge me extra $480 on top of the $320 already paid charging the extra hours and the tables we sat down as well as some other things I don’t even know… I refused to pay for the extra tables since there were no space to sit adults as it supposed to be as mentioned on the website. The lady was rude starting blaming it on me that I arrived in advance and we used tables and that the extra cost charged is not much to pay… 😂🤣😂 I mentioned to her that I arrived exactly on time to setup and nothing was ready on their side being completely disorganized and dirty, the huge palet in the middle and all boxes around were not appropriate and we started late. Anyway, in resume, $700+ for 2 hours for 8 kids activity with that kind of service and the way it’s presented and organized… never again!! I ll bring my future parties and company outings to other places where service is worth the price. The young girl helping was great and have a sense of service. But the lady who I guess is the leader has a serious issue of understanding what is service and work with common sense.

I have visited you 2 weeks before the event to organize ourselves and see what is possible or not. I mentioned you about some parents of 5 years old kids being there and you agreed. You are offering birthday party packages for these ages on your website, with alcohol packages for parents which I would have selected for easier planning but you were not having inventory apparently and you told me to bring supplies which is fine (at same visit 2 weeks before event happened). I did asked you (again when I visited you 2 weeks earlier) if I could bring a cake and balloons and you agreed. I asked on same day of event if we could cut the cake and do the birthday without disturbing and you agreed with no issues or any comments. You never came to me telling me about any issue with behavior which I could have take action to respect your business, but suddenly it appears now in your reply (and scenario is definitely not as extreme as you are describing it). Indeed, I did spend 3 hours in your establishment for a two hours package and you did charge me for the extra one hour which I didn’t dispute at all!!! But again, you put it in your reply like I didn’t pay for it. I wanted an experience with no trouble. Price was not an issue as you make it appear in your statement. Being in service industry, I totally understand ownership perception, but the fact you lie about what I said or did is definitely unprofessional, unethical and with no sense of empathy. Although this is a nice ambient place warm with a unique experience to create some wonderful memories the service is so par upon completing our art we were notified that we would receive an email given that we do not live in the city with instructions on when our package would arrive not only did we not ever receive an email but it took several calls into the store just to get a snapshot text message of a tracking number some three weeks after what we were promised. Furthermore after being notified that the store had no reason why our package had not been shipped and warm portly where it was a week later they notified us that it was no longer at the store and it had been shipped to FedEx for processing to be shipped to our residence a week later we were told that it was still there and a week later we were told that they will refund us at that point our communication with the company stopped until a week later upon which they sent a tracking number saying that it was somewhere in Tennessee. Beware, they seem to have a problem with delivering on schedule and their accountability and management along with their communication is less than expected. While they are nice on the phone they are slow to call back and many times there is a delay and then returning their calls to you. Worst experience ever. Do not go to this location. I took my family here for my dad’s birthday and the service was horrible. No one greeted us or even explained to us how the process works. It took my mom five minutes to get someone (there was only five people inside, it was not busy at all). That’s when someone finally explained to us how everything works. We sat down and got to painting, the staff were rude and obnoxious, talking super loudly and not helping anyone. One employee thought it would be a brilliant idea to pop balloons while people were still inside. My dad is very sensitive to sounds and told the employee to please stop because it bottlers him. The employee completely ignored him and popped the balloons one. by. one. After that altercation my dad had a bad time and walked out. I will never come back to this location again....
