I’m glad I waited to post this, as he offered me some discounts for posting a positive review. Had I done so, I wouldn’t have been able to report the truth. Ever get a car from an auction? You drive it away without a problem then 10 miles down the road and the transmission falls out? Yeah, that happened to me in this shop! I recently had a terrible experience with this phone repair shop. I paid $200 to have my iPhone screen replaced and the battery upgraded, only to end up with even more problems than I started with. The replacement screen was aftermarket and immediately showed signs of damage. It freezes and stalls and shuts off. I asked him when he handed it to my why the screen looked cloudy and he explained this was normal for a non-apple screen. Now, I’m upset because it so bad that sometimes I have to restart my phone to get the display to work at all. It’s been about 3-4 weeks and It now looks like it has ink under the screen, similar to a busted plasma TV or an old Gameboy. The front facing camera is completely unusable. The battery he put in was even worse than my original one, holding a charge for barely any time at all.
When I went back to complain, the owner tried to charge me more for what he called an “official iPhone battery with 80% life” for an extra $20, which would supposedly work slightly better. After arguing, he replaced it with another battery, free of charge, but this one is just as bad—it barely works unless it's hooked up to a charger.
I've already paid $200, and now I’m stuck with a phone that’s still not functional and will likely have to pay off and replace soon.
If this shop were BBB accredited, I would file a complaint, and if I could afford it, I’d consider taking legal action. Please save yourself the frustration and avoid this place...
Read moreStay away! I'd give 0 stars if Google would let me. This was one of the worst experiences in both repair quality and customer service. He ordered a non-functioning, after-market replacement part from Amazon and installed it. When I brought it back to show that it was defective I was gas-lighted and he refused to help me. He eventually got tired of coming up with excuses for the defective part and claimed he ordered a replacement, but when I came back to check days later it had not arrived and he got angry for me coming back without calling him first. It was only when my husband came back in with me I was shown decent respect. Even then, we had to come back 4 or 5 times. He lied and said he re-ordered another part, but he actually saved and refurbished my old part and put it back on my phone, which is evident by my device having the same problem as before where I would have to bend the cable a certain way to make it charge. He even used a heat gun in front of me to bend the part so that it would seem to function. He refused a refund. I felt like he treated me poorly because I was a woman. He kept on condescendingly saying that he was an engineer and I didn't know what I was talking about when I tried to reiterate the issue. He even mistreated me in front of other customers. Shady business. The business number rings to his personal cell phone. He has a gaming PC set up at the front desk as if this business is his side hustle and he otherwise just chills all...
Read moreHad the battery on iphone XS replaced. The first red flag was when I asked what the capacity of the new battery is, he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. I had to ask to see the battery, the capacity number is right on it. Then he almost didn't install the display adhesive, which makes the phone waterproof. When I pointed that out, he agreed to install it, but let me know he's doing me a favor! Then, instead of installing it properly, he cuts it in half, ruining it's protection as a waterproof seal. On top of that, my iphone now gives a "unknown part" warning that the battery is not a genuine Apple part, and it wont let me view the battery Max capacity % (main way to know if the battery is good). Lastly, I got no receipt and nothing to prove that I'm entitled to the 3 month warranty, other than a...
