KidStrong Hamden (CT) — Local services in Hamden

We couldn't wait when we found out that KidStrong was opening in Hamden, we signed up for the email list and kept checking weekly for their opening date. We started there week one with my son who is 2 years old. It is expensive (though on par with most kid activities these days) and a sacrifice for our family but I really believe it's a worthwhile investment for his physical, social and emotional growth.

After 4 months, Oliver (who is on the shyer side), proudly shakes the coaches hands and says his name. He's always been very physical and had a good awareness of his body movement but he's definitely become more brave and courageous in trying new things. I love that KidStrong teaches him healthy competition and sportsmanship, even at a young age. Watching him and his friends supporting each other in class and help the coaches with setup or cleanup melts my heart.

I also love how the classes are structured while also allowing grace for toddlers to be toddlers - the coaches are SO patient and encouraging. Shoutout to Coach Lee who functions some days are more of a circus ring leader than a coach but always with a smile, Coach Rizz who is always there to lend a helping hand and Coach Kyan (we really miss you on Monday mornings!) who in one of the most impressive young men I've met in a long time.

I can't say enough good things about KidStrong and it's translation into our everyday life - hearing my son repeat "I am strong, I am brave" in random moments at our house or in the world makes me so proud. So very grateful to have this resource for kids and families...

I absolutely love how this program keeps kids motivated and engaged! The way they encourage confidence and consistently support the kids to keep moving and doing their best is truly inspiring. It’s clear they genuinely care and know how to bring out the best in every child. Highly recommend!

UPDATE 08/36/3025 We absolutely love the KidStrong program! It keeps my child engaged while helping him grow physically, socially, and emotionally. We had tried karate and other activities before, but nothing seemed to be the right fit—until KidStrong. The coaches really know how to channel kids’ energy in a positive way, and the program gives my child a chance to move, learn, and build confidence at the same time.
