Dress It Up — Local services in Hamilton Township

The worst place to purchase a dress from. There staff has the worst attitude and they’re prices are way too high for a dirty shack of a store. But if that doesn’t sway your interest maybe this will.

About 2 months ago my mother and I went to purchase a prom dress from this shop- sorry no, dirty run down room. The staff was miserable but what do you expect from a low quality store. We purchased the dress anyway because our time was running out.

The store told us they did alterations as well, and we thought that’d be great considering like I said before that we didn’t have much time left.

The store told us they’d reinforce the straps on the back of the dress themselves and they’d call for when to come back in for alterations.

Weeks had passed. I was in the mall when I decided to pop in ask when it’s be ready for measurements. When the women said it had been ready for awhile I was taken back considering we heard NOTHING from their need about the dress. But I pushed aside the fact that one the dresses straps were never reinforced like they said would be done by the time I came back in for my measurements and that if I never came in we would have never gotten a call about the dress. I just let it go. we ended up doing the alterations a day later when we brought in the heels.

They told us the dress would take a week and they would call when it was ready HA. About 3 weeks pass still not hearing from them my mother decided to show up at the store because my prom would be happening that Friday. She was already angry so you can only assume how infuriated she was when she found out the store moved and was closed. She called the owner.

When they picked up the explained to her that they LOST THE DRESS I WAS TO BE WEARING IN TWO DAYS. She explained to them that she needs the dress as soon as possible. They NEVER apologized for not calling, not informing us they moved stores, or losing my dress.

Finally they told her they found it and to come in the next day. When she called telling them she was on her way the dress was still not at the store still being altered some place else. Patrick told my mother the man was delivering dress that night. Being a working women she has no way of picking up the dress later on or even the next day which would be the day of the prom. He told her to pick it up herself. To which she did.

After all of that not one sorry for the inconvenience. Or discount for our troubles. It was handled very unprofessional the costumer service was absolutely terrible and didn’t add an ounce of help. You won’t be seeing me back at the store and the friends I told as well.

I ordered a dress from this location for a wedding I’ll be attending next week. Patrick helped me with the initial order and he was amazing. The dress came today and I received a call but missed it. There was a message left and so I called back once I was able to do so. When I called, there was no answer so I hung up. I received a call back within a minute but I missed that call as well. I called back again and there was no answer so I hung up and went about my business. I received another call back soon after and finally I was able to answer and the woman on the other line (I believe her name is Laurie?) immediately said “do you have a question or something” after I said “hello”. She said that I kept hanging up when she would answer (which was a lie) and went on and on about it. I told her that she was extremely rude and that I was calling about dress I ordered and that I would not like to return it because of how nasty she was. She then informed me that I can not return the dress and I asked her where that is written because I was not made aware of that policy. She said I had to wait until Patrick is is to get it resolved. I will never in my life get another dress from this location. You don’t call anyone’s phone and speak to anyone the way she spoke to me. She was unprofessional and extremely rude in the way she handled me. Even if you believed I was purposely calling and hanging up, there is a way you handle that and it’s NOT by calling someone’s phone and acting like you don’t...

Highly recommend you shop here first. I’m saving you time here, this is THE place to find your perfect dress. I first found this store last fall when I was searching for a cocktail dress for myself for a wedding. I told my daughter we’d be back for prom shopping. And I referred a few of her friends there too. This store has everything. Don’t be fooled by the empty stores in the mall, this place is a gem, not to be overlooked. Highly recommend you stop by and see all that they offer. Incredible selection of gorgeous gowns! When you first walk in, it’s easy to be overwhelmed by the incredible selection, but take a deep breath because they’ve got you. Patrick was super helpful and we found the perfect prom dress for my senior. I can’t recommend this store enough. And they have tons of clothing for children too, boys suits and girls dresses.
