I wanna start by saying that this wasn't my first time at this location , nor being at Red Lobster. Over the Christmas and New Year school break I had several outings with my 6 yr old daughter and on this afternoon she stated she wanted lobster. Well lobster is was then . After waiting 3=4 minutes for a hostess to appear even though she was not seating anyone else at the time, we were sat at a booth and here we waited approx 15 minutes before we were approached and asked about drinks, and I opted to place our food order as well due to the already lengthy delays . The end result was a waitress that failed to have common sense enough to not place a steaming hot plate of steamed clams directly in front of a 6 yr old especially without cautioning her. I'm glad one of us was thinking. The long story shorter is the lobster on both of our entrees was under cooked, some of the shrimp were under cooked , others were over cooked. In all the $141.24 bill was a wasted with exception of the one beverage I had, the soup which my daughter had and the few pieces of snow crab that we were able to get out of the shell without splintering it to the point it wasn't worth eating. Shortly after being seated I had overheard the lady next to us ask for the manager and paid it no mind. About 10 minutes later the waitress returned stating that the manager was still on a call but she had given a standard discount whatever that meant. I myself after waiting for the waitress some 10-15 minutes after our food arrived to inquire as to how everything was after noticing that our plates were still full , I explained the situation and she just as pleasantly walked back from the way she came. 8 minutes went by before a young fella came out and stated he was so and so which I couldn't understand as he spoke very fast. I asked where the manager was and he stated he was on a call. Now that's the second time the manager has been asked for and not been able to oblige his customers. I'm going to finish with saying the last time we were at this location it was almost a carbon copy and it's disappointing to know that it's the managements mismanagement that was the problem then as well! My family has owned and operated a seafood restaurant for over 50 years in the same location where I've been employed for this being my 39th season. I know what seafood should look, feel, and taste like . I also know what to do when someone asks for a manager. In closing I will only say that it's time for a new manger that cares just a little bit about what goes on outside of the confines of his office especially seeings that it was going on 5:30 and dinner rush hour. I can't think of any reason to come back again ! Mike's Seafood in Sea Isle City is only 30 miles south. It's worth the ride...
Read moreToday my husband and I went to dine in at our local Red Lobster (which the previous time we went we didn’t have a good experience, but we figured we give it another shot) and had a HORRIBLE experience! When we first walked in, the hostess asked where do we want to sit, we requested a table but she didn’t want us to sit there. We found it odd, but just sat in the table she sat us which was a table with a broken bench toward the back. We placed our order, and didn’t receive our drinks or biscuits or salad till our main course of food showed up, which doesn’t make sense. My husband ordered the steak and lobster tail and this is where the nightmare turns to terror! The lobster was raw!! We even told the server and he admitted it was raw. My husband had ate a piece before we realized it was raw. I told the server that they better hope he doesn’t get sick. No apologies, he just said he’ll get another one. We waited forever and finished the rest of our food and still no cooked lobster or apologies. We had to ask where is the lobster and of course they forgot it! When we finally got it, it was overcooked, no butter and no utensils. So he couldn’t eat it. We were so disappointed and asked for our bill and asked for our dessert (reward) to go. I showed the waiter the code and he “applied it” and took our gift card, however when we looked at the bill, the charged for the free dessert and didn’t apply the gift card. I’m not sure what is going on at this Red Lobster. Even when we asked to speak with the manager, it was an issue. She was in the bathroom on her phone yelling at someone. When we were leaving she finally came out, but was on her phone texting and talking to the hostess- so unprofessional. No wonder the staff lacks good work ethics. I’m just in complete disbelief! This is a circus! But the worse of it all is serving raw shellfish. We were disrespected, disgusted and put at a health risk! And again to add insult to injury, no apologies! You guys need...
Read moreHello friends, I hope to be able to call a place, that I had issues with and it wasn’t good at all, and talk to someone, that didn’t even know this situation, if management is busy and have..someone which I got her name , Rebecca who I spoke to about this, She was very professional and very nice and asked all the right questions and was very nice and I go off subject and she was very very nice... talking with me .I called for a update because the manager was supposed to send USMail a gift card to me I never got as I don’t drive! Rebecca told me she would talk to her., manager and asked me for my phone number and said she would tell her to call me... but it won’t be right now she’s not in yet.I said take your time and thank you for being so nice I’m so happy to speak to you as most aren’t as nice and didn’t rush me off the phone. I told her really I appreciate your kindness, and I truly did as I don’t get this respect to often so I wanted to tell her how professional and so nice she was and went out of her way I feel to be nice and told me if she don’t call I will but it won’t be for a couple hours I said no problem. So she called me, not to long after , again very professional and saying who she was and I said thank you so much for getting back to me. She said if you want, I’m not far away from you and I’m leaving work now.I could bring it to you or put it in the Mail. I was so happy that she said that , though all this experience with Rebecca, she made me so comfortable and happy, I said really you can bring it to me wow that’s so nice of you ok so she went out of her way for me and I couldn’t believe it and thanked her so much! As I think of the situation she should be a manager she’s good at what she did for me and it was all really nice and respectful 😊You made my day ! Thank you Rebecca Keep being who you are and I appreciate what you did for me.I was able to not get upset and...
