i went here yesterday. ive been wanting to go for a few days now, to try and sell some old clothing and stuff i didnt want. it seems to be very hit or miss based on reviews ive seen online. i brought a large laundry basket filled with clothing, all nice and folded. i also had a smaller bin with juicy couture purses, makeup bags, belts, and other accessories, and a small bag of bodycare items (perfumes/lotions). they said it would be a 20-45 min wait, but i think it was only around 10-15 minutes. they didnt take a single clothing item, but they took both belts, all of the juicy couture items except 1 wallet, a lotion, and 2 perfumes. i got $26.60. at first i was pretty upset they didnt take any clothing, it was all either worn once or twice or in very good condition. the thing was, it was mostly shein and other cheap brands. the website says they take shein, so i assumed they would take it. while i was looking through the racks, i dont think i saw a single shein item. it was very well organized, a little cramped in some spots but otherwise very nice. lots of clothing, for great prices. i got a pair of vans shoes, nike sweatpants, and a long sleeve shirt for 42 dollars. i probably couldve gotten all that for 20 at a goodwill or salvation army, but it is name brand stuff so it makes sense why its priced a little higher. either way, it was still much cheaper than those items wouldve been retail price. overall, if its stuff you truly dont care about, and otherwise would be donating for free, i feel like its worth it to sell. buying is a great experience as long as you're aware its not a goodwill, and its name brand items and will be priced...
Read moreI shop at platos atleast every other week. Ive had 2 of the girls tell me i should bring stuff in because of the style i buy. I said i have tons. So i bring a bag in 2 weeks ago, the guy there was awesome, took most of my stuff, a few things had dog hair on them. He told me to run threw dryer w a dryer sheet and bring back. Also said bring more tanks too bcuz thats what they're looking for. I bring a full bag in today, some brand names and some w tags. They took like 5 things from a big garage bag. Most of it is kinda things you'd definitely look for at platos (trust me, i know being i spend hundred of dollars there. Secondly, i also brought in a plastic platos ba . Since i got a text saying you get a discount. I set on counter w the girl that took my bag of clothes. So when i went to check out more clothes i bought, i said oh i have a plastic bag i brought in and they all just stood there looking at me like i was lieing. I said ask the girl who took my clothing (who was very nice) girl said oh she's on break. So i asked when the guy that waited on me last time would be there, i was told he's the district manager so they dont know. As a frequent shopper i am severely disappointed in this customer service I love shopping there for me AND my daughter and now really dont want to give my business there after how rude these girls were. You guys say bring in tanks then dont want anything brought in. Had several people tell me this is a usual thing for them. So theres my review on your place that i am so...
Read moreI just left the store about an hour ago. I had intentions of bringing all 4 of my bags in there to sort through and see what they would take and what they didnât want. I wasnât even given the opportunity. The person working had no intention of helping me and sent me on my way, as Iâm watching other people bring bags of clothing in. Not to mention she was extremely rude. Little did they know that Iâm sitting on never worn, new items of clothing and brand new heels that I never wore. To them I looked like an old woman I guess because they wouldnât even look at my stuff, that my clothing wasnât fit for teens. Iâm 26 years old with designer clothing trying to give it to people who need it more than I do. I had bought most of the stuff when I was a teenager never worn, some was clothing for older women that my mom had given me to sell. I wasnât even given the opportunity to just go through my things and see which things they wouldâve taken is the point Iâm trying to make. What the person did tell me to do, was to go try the store next to them. Iâd be happy to give business somewhere else, thanks for the idea!!! You just lost a customer and really nice pieces of clothing that you couldâve had. Not sure what kind of business youâre trying to run but itâs a disgrace. If youâre looking to sell very nice gently used or never worn items, doesnât matter if theyâre new or years old and still never worn then do not step foot in there. You should hire nicer people too that greet you with smiles...
