Murphy's General Store — Local services in Harwich

Murphy's General Store, Harwich Port, has catapulted into one of my favorite places to go. A totally unexpected surprise. Two weeks ago my son and I visited Harwich Port to check out another store and just overheard a customer mention Murphy's which was nearby. Since it was still open my son and I decided to check it out. We spent over an hour there, browsing the fantastic inventory and talking with one of the owners, Jay. Jay made us feel so comfortable and while we browsed he conversed with my son about two of his favorite topics, moves and books. One can find a gift for anyone at Murphy's. We cannot wait to go back and will be returning to Harwich Port soon just for Murphy's. Murphy's is a wonderful part of the Harwich Port community. They have records, candy, books, and games among other things. The old school vibe is so fun, and it has been a great addition to the shopping in town!

My husband and I bought vintage themed Wychmere post cards for a special part of our wedding day. Jay, the owner, went out of his way to purchase a new variety of postcards, and kept me informed of the delivery via email! He really went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service when he didn't need to at all. Wow! Blown away with my experience!! My friend and I visited Boston and took a day trip to Cape Cod. On our way back we stopped in Harwich and came across this modern general store!! Super cool store tons of cool vintage stuff but a very modern vibe!! Jay, the store owner was super friendly and there was a sweatshirt I wanted to buy for my son but they were out of his size. Jay not only took my number but he actually called when it came in stock and he shipped it to me! Talk about customer service!! I have not seen anyone go above & beyond like this in a long time!
