Produce quality has declined since Winn Dixie was purchased by Aldi. Southeastern Grocers recently acquired many of it's Winn Dixie Stores back from Aldi. Southeastern Grocers announced it was going to regain ownership of about 170 Winn Dixie stores in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi. This grocery store is very large, has a big variety of items, and has some good sales. However, you've got to be careful because some things are more expensive just because they aren't advertised. In this case, you're better off to review to sales papers that come in the mail weekly. In my case, I use a marker and circle the things that are great deals, so that when I get to the store, I can only get those specific items, and I don't end up spending an arm and a leg on ALL the groceries I need. The other store, that starts with a "W" has way better deals on lots of items. Therefore, if you pick out the things on sale before you go shopping, get ONLY the items on sale, then you will be getting great bargains!
