Can’t say enough great things about this dealership! I was in need of a new work truck ASAP & contacted Thad about their sale on a 2019 Tacoma. I was met through phone with aloha & immediately knew I chose the right place to bring my business to. In a little under an hour, he got me fully approved for financing in my price range & I set up an appointment to take a look at the truck in person the next day. Unfortunately, Thad had the day off & I wasn’t able to meet him in person, but he had me in great hands with the owner, Corey. The paperwork was ready for me, the truck checked out, & everything would’ve been done in less than an hour & I would’ve been out the door. However, the hospitality, friendliness, & all around aloha that Corey displayed kept me there for a few hours! He is not just in this purely for a transaction to make money, he has highly prioritized to leave his customers with a feeling of security, dependability, & apart of their ohana not just the day of, but for years ahead! We just bought a car from Corey and the guys at Kona Used Cars and the experience was unlike any other car lot on the island. No high-pressure sales and you could tell that Corey genuinely cared about the people he was serving, not just worshipping the bottom line. They are not the largest car lot, but he won't sell just any old car. On the final test-drive, a TPMS light turned on and gave a communications error. Corey promised to have it fixed by the next day, and made good on his promise. A new TPMS sensor was installed due to failure of that tire's TPMS and we purchased the car the next day.

Also of note, while I was waiting to sign papers, he was helping another couple who tried to hold him over a barrel, threatening to leave a negative review on his website if Corey couldn't get them a car loan on the car they wanted with their credit score. Corey handled this professionally with grace and composure and was in no way that I could see, deserving of being held hostage for fear of a bad review on Google.

He has definitely earned our return business and I know where we will be buying our next cars...

I can't write enough good things about this place and the folks who run Kona Used Cars. Thad has helped me out with TWO separate car purchases in the last 14 months. I bought what became my dream car from them in Dec 2021 and they made the process so low stress and straightforward. They worked with me and my budget and made sure I felt good about the major purchase I made. Less than a year later, I was hit and my car was totalled - Kona Used Cars didn't have what I wanted at the time so I had to purchase something from someone else, but I wasn't stoked on the new car. Thad never stopped looking out for me and a few months later, he texts me with the car I want. I put the other up for sale and purchased yet another car from Kona Used Cars! I was on a trip out of country when this was all happening and Thad went above and beyond to ensure that I got this car, telling other potential customers it was already sold. I can't express how thankful I am for Thad and Corey - they make everyone feel comfortable, taken care of, and they make honest deals with their customers.
