Save yourself from coming to this place! I usually never cared to write a bad review at a place that was bad, matter fact this is my first ever bad review ever. Mind you there was no encounter at all I stayed calm and treated the rude waiter with such respect. I ate two appetizers which took about 45 minutes to get to me while the place had 4 people sitting down. I Ordered some to-go entree, and a entree for myself…..(the entree took one hour and a half to get to me which I understood as a small local business)during that time the waiter rudely said “slow down you’ve messed everything up, tell me what you want to eat now then your to go order.” (whats so hard about a to-go order and a entree?)The waiter kept rolling his eyes, he didn’t even wait till I finished my sentence for my orders and ended walking away and messed up my appetizer, although I didn’t say anything I just assumed he was having a bad day and I decided to eat the wrong appetizer either way. ( I debated a lot of just paying the bill and leaving and not even wait for my to-go meal)When I asked a simple question about the difference between spring rolls he simply responded with “I don’t know.” and walked away, before i could even order. I felt embarrassed for him. Not only was I being treated that way but some of the locals that was sitting down next to my table said the same thing and decided to never come back. Im all about supporting local business, but one thing I’m sure I will never step my foot in that restaurant again, because of that disgrace of a waiter. If you don’t like your job just quit! because due to him a lot of people are not going to eat there again! it’s so sad seeing places with such a good cozy vibe on the inside but you get a waiter...

This 1 star review is simply for the service and not for the food as we left before trying it.

Upon ordering, my partner asked for the papaya salad dressing on the side (a request she's made at previous Thai restaurants as the quantity of dressing can be overbearing). The waiter gave us a cold stare and said that will change the recipe and refused. My partner explained again that the amount of dressing can be too much and he said "well I can add salt and make it vegan if you want." There was no mention of us being vegan or altering the recipe. After saying we just want the sauce on the side, he reluctantly agreed and my partner, feeling extremely awkward at this point, asked him if he was sure this was okay. He replied with frustration and sarcasm: "I can make it however you want as long as you eat it." This was by far the rudest restaurant experience we've EVER had, to the point where we walked out of the restaurant. The waiter had no issue with this and made no attempt to salvage the situation, he simply said "okay" and turned away and left. We found it odd that he was insulted by a simple request of sauce on the side (a request we made respectfully with smiles on our faces, and a request that another Thai restaurant down the street happily obliged to).

To the waiter if you read this: smile, you live in paradise, and are serving patrons that are supporting your business. Be...

Bland food and poor service. We paid nearly $60 for dinner for 2 and ended up throwing away most of it. See attached pics of the rice, there was slimey brown chunks in it! It was the wrong type of rice and you don't get rice with the curry so make sure you add that to your oder. That was the 1st time I've ever had to do that. The fresh rolls with chicken were tasteless and rolled terribly (see pic). The beef in my pad Thai (1st time trying with beef) was bland and all the toppings (peanuts and garnish) were at the bottom. They need to learn how to season the food. We also got a curry, there was a thick layer of oil ontop and the potatoes were nearly mush as if they had been simmering in the sauce allllll day. It took 45 minutes to get our food and we were take out...the resturant was only half full so it shouldn't have taken this long but she did say it would be about a 30 minute wait. I tried to call the place when I got home to talk about the problems but they had just closed so I called the next day. They lady was really rude and refused to even give a partial refund. She just assumed we were tourists (said "sorry to ruin your vacation") but I live here and will not be suggesting this place to anyone. I even waited to post this review until I spoke with them to give them a chance to fix the problem, too bad because a little kindness would have...

Best Thai we've ever had! Owned, cooked, and served by a family from Thailand, so it's extremely authentic. Also one of the few places you can get very spicy food in Kona, although you can request mild if you prefer. It takes a bit longer to make the meal because everything is cooked fresh, so come when you aren't in a rush and have time to savor the results. Every dish we had was absolutely amazing! We ordered the chicken satay, long rice soup, papaya salad, pineapple fried rice, panang curry, coconut sticky rice with mango slices, and Thai tapioca pudding.

Don't let the outside of this restaurant fool you! Once you walk into the restaurant, you'll find a cozy space with authentic decor. The spicy beef salad was fantastic! Cashew chicken was great. My husband had the ground beef basil. He thought the beef was too bland. Service was fast and courteous. Bathroom set up was odd, but clean.
