We had our Uber driver cancel for our ride to the appointment and had to get another one. I notified the salon that we were running late - 10min before our appointment even started - and they texted back ok, but you might have to wait for a bit. I was fine with that. They apparently were going to start on someone else. That’s fine. It should all work out since they started on someone else early - at the same time our appointment was supposed to start. I figured we just traded spots.
Rude from the minute we walked in. Totally unexpected.
We arrived and someone was delivering them pastries and they chatted and were sugary sweet to the person. After that person left, I waited for them to ask for our names and they didn’t even acknowledge that we had arrived. We were sitting right in front of them.
I had to wave to them and say, “hello - I was the one who texted you for my daughter’s appointment.” They looked up, no smile, and were annoyed at us and said “oh I don’t think we can’t do it anymore.”
I said “we have a two hour appointment slot and I notified you we were running late before this slot even started. You said we could just wait, so we came in. Now you’re saying you’re going to cancel it because we’re late even we still have 1hour and 40 minutes in our appointment time?” More than enough time for gel nails.
Then they asked the person if they still wanted to do it. She seemed annoyed and grunted.
I said, “This is my daughter’s Christmas present and was supposed to be fun. I wish we were just told in advance that you wouldn’t do it so we didn’t come all the way here - especially because I asked 10 min before our appointment even started to see if it was ok.”
Again, if I just showed up late without notifying them, or if they hadn’t already told me we would just have to wait, I would have been totally ok with them canceling it. But that’s not what happened.
They said “I don’t need an attitude - you can leave. I have to deal with 3 children at home.”
Really? No thank you. Very unprofessional. I notified them in advance and they could have said no. Instead they said ok come on in you’ll just have to wait, and then changed their mind.
At the very least, they could have been kind when we arrived and greeted us.
This isn’t the first such complaint if you scroll down the reviews. I wish I had seen those ahead of time.
The professional thing would be to either stick to your agreement or let me know in advance that we might get there and then have it canceled. Not go back on what you say and be rude on top of it, acting annoyed, and not even acknowledging customers when we come in when you’re supposedly...
Read moreI came to Hawaii this time to get married !! I have to wait until the last minute to get my nails done as I always seem to mess them up within a day or two. Their website is super user friendly and I was able to schedule both my mom and I. I had the absolute pleasure of having Kama do my Apres Gel-X Full Set with nail art on each nail and a deluxe gel pedicure. My mom got a gel manicure and a deluxe gel pedi with Jayde! They were simply amazing. The girls were so easy to chat with, gave great recommendations, and were a hilarious duo! Definitely found my nail artist on the...
Read moreIf I could give these girls 100 stars I would. I am new to the island and found them randomly on google but I booked an appointment and felt like I was one of their besties within minutes. Natalie did my nails and toes and she made them beyond perfect. Not to mention she might be the kindest person I have ever met. It’s hard moving to a new home, let alone from the mainland, but these beauties just embraced me as their own. Did I mention my nails and toes?!?! Best gel job I have ever had! They are literally perfect....
