This store has no idea what the concept of customer service is or employees who have any knowledge about their products. I wanted to buy a bicycle and getting anyone to even get a bike for me was a process and it only got more difficult after that. The boy who got the bike for me then disappeared after asking me if I buy the bike would I get the extended warranty. When I said probably not, he was gone as that is how they make extra money by selling those useless warranties. After waiting quite a while for the boy to return to help me, I started walking around the store looking for him but could not find him. After I couple rounds, I sought a manager who was also quite young. He had no concept of customer service either and could only call the original one who was helping me as he knew absolutely nothing about the bike. The "kid" finally appeared again but knew nothing about the bike. When I asked him, he was trying to read off the tag on the bike to answer me. I'm very busy and this was the evening I had to get a bike but I wanted to walk out of that store so badly. He put it on a rack to supposedly check it but when I got it home, the front brake was not working!!! I had to sign all these papers saying he explained everything to me and checked the bike. I knew more about the bike than he did and knew it was useless to ask him. After I signed the papers, he told me to take it up front to pay. I had to ask for someone to help me get it in my car as that concept of helping the customer is nonexistent at that store. I worked in retail for 19 years and I know the importance of customer service and this store has NONE !!!! I would not recommend this...
Read morePoor experience from the golf department. Sent in a new set of irons and a few wedges to have the lofts adjusted. I was told 24 hours and I would be notified when ready. Didn’t hear back by mid afternoon, so I called and was told they were ready. I went and picked them up and by mistake I did not check them prior to leaving. When I got home, there was a pretty substantial chunk of metal pushed from the sole of the club into the leading edge of my wedge. Enough to create problems while playing. I called the store and was transferred to the manager and he wasn’t willing to take any potential responsibility for it and before I could ask could say anything else it was stated “did you read the bottom of your receipt, we are not responsible for damage”. I said I understand that if a club snaps while bending that is one thing, but this looks like something wasn’t securely clamped. We stated he didn’t care and ended the call.
In my position I'm thinking… no offer to credit me the $4.99 I spent, an offer to grind the metal down and smooth it out, or an apology… nothing. This is not the place to go for golfing services or customer service in that department. I will never make this mistake again. Go down the street and pay $2 more a club at least the other guy will be accountable and take care of...
Read moreThe people working at the gun section of this store may be the worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have come here a few times hoping to get someone different each time and each time I got someone different, not that it made any difference. None of them can answer even very rudimentary questions, not just pertaining to guns that they dont have in store but also guns that they do have in store. On top of that they were not personable, not in the least bit. I asked the one guy if he had a certain gun in stock to which he replied "we might, id have to check." He didnt check. Then I asked again if he could check and he replies again "I dont know, we may have it." Once again does not check. I asked to see two other guns in which he did not even take off the lock on the trigger for both of them, then he handed me the guns and walked away to talk with his co workers. Needless to say I bought no guns from there, nor will I ever return to this store. Not to buy...
