What's not to love, all you can eat Chinese along with a variety of American cuisine, desserts, salad bar, Hibachi, and Sushi (made to order or already prepared). New City reminds me of the typical Chinese buffets that pop up in every town. My theory for why they remain so successful? The combination of two things Americans enjoy, one being Chinese cuisine, the other being buffets, both under the same roof for a reasonable price is almost too much to resist. It's easy to understand why they remain such a successful business. New City is clean, the staff is prompt, parking is convenient, and the location is easy to find. As for the food, it remains unimpressive like the kind you'd find at a million buffets in a million different towns. The same goes for the atmosphere. I used to visit here more often when my kids were younger only because they thought it was the best restaurant around.

This is one of the best buffets I uave eaten at. I am a OTR truck driver and eat at a buffet once a month (gatta keep my washboard abs). The food was all very fresh and piping hot (like the waitresses) and everyone was staying very busy with stiring food, clearing tables and the place was packed. When I pulled into the parking lot and it was almost full on a Thursday, thats a good sign. They had most of the typical dishes and then some specialty ones that I have never seen in a buffet. The sushi was fresh and I did hear one person complain that the sushi pieces were small, which they are but it wasnt less fish but less rice. If you want some fresh food, great service and cute waitresses then this is your place.

I’ve been coming here since I was young and never had issues. Recently they’ve went down hill over the years especially on the weekends. Yesterday I got takeout from there, sushi and a couple other things. As I’m eating the sashimi I look and it looks rotten!! How do you serve first like this? And you guys are still not shut down? Will never be going here again.

I am a caregiver. I took my friends to this place on mother's day 5/8/22 because they were looking forward to Chinese food and shopping in Greensburg. 'Boy didn't we regret !! From the onslaught, As soon as they saw I brought in special needs individuals, their demeanor changed. They gave us a booth, but our waitress had an attitude towards us. I wanted to leave but the guys just wanted Chinese food they didn't notice the attitude. When we got the food and anyone needed a refill, there was virtually no one answering us. The waitress would literally walk past us talking in CHINESE. Some of my friends started getting frustrated, other customers who saw we were being ignored walked by and joked with us, telling us we have called so much they thought we were calling them. Simply put, The waitresses mistreated my friends because they were SPECIAL NEEDS. They totally ignored us,no refilling, and when I stood up to request for them she sarcastically brought them like she was serving a rabid dog, slammed glasses on the table. I apologized to my friends, I told the manager how we were treated, he literally didn't care less, he told me I gotta do what I gotta do. I asked him why the waitresses were so rude to us and especially to people with disabilities, he shrugged off. I guarantee you, some people witnessed it. I reminded the manager that these people though they have special needs, are paying too and that they deserve RESPECT. My opinion? This place should be shut down! The bathrooms were shady poop not flushing. The tables were dirty. I am shocked people actually go to eat at that place, am surprised there hasn't been an outbreak of some food borne disease because the place is so dirty, toilets dirty, people handling same serving spatulas unwashed hands. This is a germ factory germs germination center. It's horrible. If you are going to treat people this way, what kind of food are you cooking? I hope this place is shut down ASAP. I rarely give negative reviews, but this was a horrible experience. Shut...

Honestly this place has pretty good food. But the atmosphere and the staff make you feel so weird and unwelcome. The hosts are never friendly they seat you super quick then take your drink order in a rude manner and walk right off. Literally nothing nice about them. The waitresses are all females and they are decent while you’re there and eating. But once it’s time for the check ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!!!! These women set that check down and will walk past your table CONSTANTLY checking to see if you are ready to pay and make you so uncomfortable! They just look over at your check, and not only one waitress, it is every single one that’s walks by. It is really frustrating and annoying for people who want to sit and eat more or just talk a little longer. THEN once you pay, they JUMP on your check and cash/card. They never want to give you change either. They think you’re leaving a 5.00+ tip when in the first place they don’t even need a tip. It’s a buffet!!!! Once they set that receipt down for you, every. Single. Time. They walk by. They STARE to see if you paid and left a tip!!! Like that is beyond inappropriate. They are so uptight about the tips and it’s wrong. Once you leave they talk in Chinese to each other…BBB should come see the way these waitresses hound and hound and hound for your tip. They are not friendly nor do they do anything for us. Taking dirty dishes and grabbing a drink that I can easily get myself or bring myself doesn’t mean they deserve a tip. And when you’re staring me down for that tip I’m telling you, you’re def not going to get one. Back off the customers and let them be….. the food is good and the staff is decent at first. But be prepared for that stare...

Upon entering, my first time at this establishment, the host was completely silent and acted annoyed at having customers. Although there were many empty tables, we were seated at a table with the back of my chair being broken, forcing me never to lean back. Some of the food was good, but more of it was either old looking, dry, stale tasting, flavorless or nearly empty. The waitress was half-hearted at best. But the worst part was witnessing the host approach a table of customers which included a child, father and elderly disabled woman, only to loudly reprimand them for placing their used plates on the table next to them. While that may sound like the customer was at fault, he was not! He pointed out that the "waitress" never came to collect a total of 6 plates, and that there was no room on his table for his family to continue their meal. The floors were slippery and dirty with pieces of food lying around. The atmosphere of a restaurant is largely set by the host/hostess and waitstaff. From beginning to end I found their environment to be cold and oppressive. In spite of that my waitress received my typical 25% tip for poor service, in the hope that she be motivated to give better service to the next customer. Needless to say, I would never return to this place. Should anyone have a similar experience at New City Buffet, and hope for a better one, may I suggest Fortune Star Chinese Buffet in Monroeville. My experiences there have never been anything but perfect from...
