I have been “window shopping” in this store many times and have always been greeted and had my questions answered. I’ve never been made to feel unworthy even though I wasn’t buying anything. Many years ago I bought a nice pillow here and while owning it I washed the insert against the advice of the directions. My washer destroyed it. I happened to mention it while in this shop on one of my visits and the lady gave me an insert to replace it with no questions asked. I was not even thinking about her giving me a replacement. I was the one that did not follow the directions yet she did. Today, I stopped in to buy a nice set of sheets. Again, I was greeted with kindness and had all my questions answered thoroughly. I bought a nice, well-made set of sheets and had an excellent experience. I do not believe all the negative reviews are deserved. I think YOU need to give this small business a chance to earn your business. I truly believe you will find a great place to buy exquisite linens, luxurious pajamas and interesting gifts. Two words: Very Rude. We were in town visiting my parents who have a vacation home in the area and decided to take a look around in the store, big mistake. We were not greeted upon arrival and the woman at the counter spoke to my ten year old daughter very aggressively, as if she assumed she would ruin or break something. My daughter is very well behaved, has traveled extensively, and shopped in premier stores....basically without being snobby my daughter was not doing a thing and the woman behind the counter was acting as though her store was Hermes( which my daughter frequents often without incident) when it is your basic quaint run of the mill stuff. Local appeal is cute but rude manners will loose you quiet a bit...

Nice local shop with a good selection of linens and other gift items. But what I really wanted to share is my experience with great customer service from Pat - which seems hard to come by these days! I purchased 11 dinner napkins and needed a 12th, which Pat ordered. There were delays in Homestead receiving the napkins from their supplier - beyond normal. Pat did a good job setting expectations with me and communicating with me about the issue. Once the 12th napkin finally arrived and I went in to pick it up, Pat refused to accept payment for it - stating how sorry she was for the extended delays. This was not expected - as the delays weren't Pat's fault - but the gesture was very much appreciated! Great...
