The food is absolutely amazing, great atmosphere, superior service. Only one thing I can complain about which to me was enough for 4 stars instead of 5 full stars... We were told that the whole place was pet friendly. So we brought our husky in. Most restaurants are very much against pets so I was a little nervous since you actually have to walk in with your pet, versus the outdoor seating most pet friendly restaurants have. When we walked in everything was fine and my mind was put to rest when I saw a tiny white dog next to the cash register on the cafe side. The dog kept growling and barking like a maniac at my dog... who like the amazing pupper she is just looked at him/her like he/she was crazy. We proceeded to order. My husband had to run back to the car because we both left our wallets, as he was walking back in the lady in the kitchen (I'm assuming the owner??) asked if we had been helped... which we had. I hardly had the words come out of my mouth that, yes we had been helped but my husband had to get money to pay before she started telling me how my dog couldn't be on the cafe side. I get it. You can get fined. That's understandable. It's even understandable that the entire establishment isn't pet friendly, just the brewery side. I get it. But what I don't get is why my dog, who wasn't bothering anyone... the only way that anyone knew she was there was because of how large she is... but the tiny, growling ankle biter that was surely heard through the entire restaurant wasn't asked to relocate. No way that this dog wasn't noticed with the amount of yipping and growling that was going on. If you have rules for the large dog owners but don't also make the small dog owners obey them, how is that fair? Other than this, I would highly recommend. The burgers may be a bit pricey but you get what you pay for so... totally worth it. Highly recommend the sweet...

Nice setting, close to downtown, love the pet cause. Been here before and had ok beers. I want to give them another chance. However, all 3 of the porters taste the same. Reminds me of Barking Duck. Not sure if there were not enough ingredients added to make them uniquely different. Also there were bitter off flavor, maybe a bad yeast strain? I had really hoped this time it will be different but it was not. The worst though was the pretzels. They looked like they had been thawed and unthawed a few times. They were wrinkly and dry. I was surprised they served them like that. They have great potential but they need to work on some things.

Update post business reply.. Unfortunately this was our 2nd try at this brewery. You truly disappointed a group of 6 beer aficionados, who visiting from outside the state. Yes beer has hops, that is obvious. But thats not the issue, you have a production problem, either dirty lines or fermenters, possibly an infection. Ask a cicerone and they can help you. Dont assume it is hops. Its not. Dont take my word for it. There were a dozen half drank beers that day sitting around the bar. Clearly others agree. I have only seen that one other time in the modern beer era, and that brewery went under, Barking Duck. As far as the pretzels, I know what bad food and freezer burnt pretzels taste like. Have you staff eat them if you disagree. If thats the best your vendor can give you, you need to find a new vendor. Ive updated the star rating to reflect the actual visit that day, I had been generous previously, but the lack of understanding makes it clear you have...

Oklawaha is a second home to me and so many others! The atmosphere is super laid-back, it’s nice and open and in a really cool Historic building in downtown Hendersonville! It’s kid and animal friendly - they even have board games for those Sunday family outings!

I guarantee you’ll make friends with the staff, while enjoying the best beer in town! The brewers are masters at their craft. From the super strong IPA game, to rich stouts, to barrel-aged sours, and seasonal fruit ales - there’s something for everyone’s tastes! They also have a great cider and wine selection!

We love playing Trivia on Tuesday nights, and they have live music Thursday-Saturday, with Sunday afternoon acts often. Come catch some of the best local music in the area and support local artists! Hands down my favorite place in Hendersonville!!

They have been following all Covid-19 guidelines, which I really appreciate from local businesses. It shows they care about our community, and the health and safety of not only their patrons, but their staff as well. Thanks for being a responsible and...

Thank you Sanctuary for being the first brewery opened in the area on a Friday. Thanks for understanding there are visitors that dont have to work. Since we were only in town for a few hours we want to try your delicious offerings and we were not disappointed. Figgy Me Gingers is a great beer, and your Framboise is a triumph in taste. I have yet to taste a beer with neither beer nor tamarind in it, but both you were able to add with interesting tastes. Admittedly the beet might be a niche market but good beet flavor, and not red like some people might think it would be. I felt the service was good, the choices were grand, the temperature was nice and you can smell the hops/grains from current brewing session.

This is one instance when we are glad that we did not rely on online reviews. There was a mix of good and bad reviews, but our experience was a very positive one. First of all, it helped to have the beers listed according to their basic characteristic: easy drinking, hoppy, dark, etc. This type of classification would help patrons who are not familiar with beers. Second, the bartender was engaging and talked about different beers and how these were brewed onsite. It was our first time to order beer that was poured and sealed in a can. We took one large can back home with us. This place is a must-do when in Hendersonville.

Cute little brewery right off the main street. Nice variety of beers on tap, lots of indoor and outdoor seating. And if someone in your group isn't a beer person they did have lots of other options. I did a flight then had one beer. Flight is a tasting of any 3 drafts. Hubby had a stout and said it was very good. Not a lot of parking but we found a spot about 2 blocks away & it was an easy walk. Unfortunately the kitchen isn't open on Sundays so we didn't get to try that, but we did get takeout from a nearby local place that the bartender suggested. We will defiantly be back here next time we are in the area.
