Went to US Cellular on Four Seasons Blvd in April. As I waited for assistance I noticed that the phones were priced alot higher than online or in big box stores. Talking to the Service Rep I asked him the benefit of purchasing in store. After being told that any issue with the phone would be handled in store. And the higher prices where due to the cost of business. Having the luxury of stopping in and saving time if any issues arose. After weigh the pros and cons of buying in store. And being reassured they would personally handle any problems. I bought a phone. Paying not quite double than had I gotten the same phone elsewhere. The guy did stress that even though they would have this on record I would need to keep the receipt. This was the only part that seemed off. Stressing the necessity of having the receipt. Figured they had problems before. So I made sure to keep the original receipt. So this past month I have been having issues with the phone power cycling. Sometimes in excess of 50 times a day. And a silver stripe has appeared beneath the surface of the touch screen. I stopped by the store WITH MY RECEIPT in hand. Waited for a service rep. Super nice guy. Seemed like he either was new, from another store, or even another facet of the company. He kept having to ask the manager behind him about store procedure. She said they only handle issues for the first year. I showed them the receipt from April. Then I was told they had to send it off. Not a problem if I was given a loaner. But again "No". I explained that I asked profusely before I purchased it originally about the benefits of paying more and was reassured they would take care of any issues in store. And wouldn't be stuck without a phone. Finally the woman said "No". We don't deal with phone warranty. I left. Rather upset. So I called the company. Explained the whole situation. Same thing. So U.S. Cellular can keep their horrible services. What little they do. They can keep the $ that they cheated me out of. Read through the reviews left. They are scum. And will eventually reap...
Read moreAT&T cut the fixed wireless service in the area with no forewarning or explanation about 3 months ago. They could care less! My area in NE Edneyville had no internet options other than satellite, or so I thought. The satellite is horrible (don't do it!) and will not connect to my work VPN. I felt my job was threatened by lack of internet. Rent an office or resign a state job the only options left. Nothing but absolute despair until I met a 2 teenagers in my neighborhood. I casually asked what internet they had and they said US Cellular. I was skeptical to say the least. My last attempt at Skyrunner was a abject failure with no service. In a last, desperate attempt, I contacted US Cellular in Hendersonville. They were able to tell me that I would likely have good service. Again skeptical, I went to the store and bought the equipment. Needless to say this service has saved me! It works flawlessly and is extraordinary fast! Tanner W. was an expert at the store and the price is exceptional compared to what I was paying AT&T for inferior service in comparison. This service has saved my life and contributes to everyone in Western NC by virtue of my job. I believe there should be a special place in hell for AT&T executives, their uncaring minions, and a special place in heaven for Tanner and US Cellular. They saved my life and career! Please give it a try. They will tell you if it will work or not. I cannot give a stronger recommendation!
Price is reasonable- 70.00 with 300 GB 60..00 with paper statements and direct pay.
Modem is a 1 time charge of around 500.00, but this is interest free over 24 months! I walked out with just paying the tax..

During the Covid Pandemic my business had to shut its doors for 2 and half months. I slowly watched my balance rise with no way to pay. After I started getting disconnection notices I called and tried to make arrangements to pay half now and half June 2d. The wonderful lady said Mr Sellers, you have been a valued customer and instead of doing that, just pay the full balance on June 2d after your business opens and if you come to a place where you cannot pay it then, please call us back and we will make further arrangements. We know this is hard on people and we understand. I will always be grateful for this.THANK YOU.
