My friend and I visited Hermann for the day and thought we would visit the wineries and do some shopping. We went into the store to shop and while we were in there, I asked the clerk if there was a restroom. He hesitated before telling me that there was no restroom in the store and that I could use the restroom across the street in the museum. Afterwards, my friend and I decided to go downstairs to do some more shopping at which time I saw a restroom that did not have employees only posted. It actually had the symbol for men or women. The doors next to it did have employees only. Since it did not say employees only I took it upon myself to use the restroom. Needless to say we put our Items back and left the store. I love this store. And I have to respond to "VERNA DANIELS". All she has done on google is complain about this place or that place. No store has an obligation to allow you to use a restroom and your color has absolutely nothing to do with anything and we are all sick to death of people blaming "racism" for every single thing. This is a wonderful store and the people who run and own it are amazingly sweet. I can say the last thing I would ever do is apologize and invite you over for a bathroom party after your ignorant post. Maybe dont come back to Hermann. Use the bathroom in your own house. My husband and I visit this unique store every time we visit this quaint beautiful town. We always find something we have to buy! It's our favorite store in Hermann. Our daughter got married at Hermann Hill this last weekend, we stopped at this store as usual.We were talking to our daughter outside and the owner brought out a bottle of wine as a wedding gift.
