Bryson's Food Store, owned by a local Highlander, has products that many large stores do not and they always have local hand made goodies you can get no where else! For example, Chocolate Heaven gluten free cakes and banana breads, Kelly's Kitchen yeast rolls and buttermilk pies, Mary Lou's caramel cakes and Seasonal Samplers cinnamon rolls and cakes and pumpkin rolls. All local venders will do special orders! Just ask cashiers! Meat Dept is the best anywhere! They will work with you whatever your needs, and very helpful! Year's ago this was a delightful grocery store where one could grab a nice lunch as well. The store has morphed to a cross between a real sandwich spot and a fast food joint. On the bright side, the take out, and bakery are delightful, and they have a good choice of wine. So if you are a cabin weekender, stop by get meals ready to eat, some nice drinking wine, and enjoy the weekend. I ordered a shrimp Po Boy and could not eat it. Total lack of luster in the way it was made. As it was, I ditched my 9 buck sandwich, and got a nice piece of hummingbird cake..... that...
