The teenagers and young adults that work here are great and appear to be doing their best, despite a totally inept owner that seems insistent on losing customers as fast as possible. For 2 weeks, they have not had lettuce. However, the Subway app gladly lets you order sandwiches with lettuce. Same with onions, which they have been out of now too. Boggles the mind that the owner would fail to purchase lettuce, the #1 ordered vegetable, for weeks and fail to update the availability in the app (something they absolutely can do). Then they leave it on their poor young employees to try and troubleshoot angry customers who have just been deceived into ordering food that doesn't exist. Shame on the owner for defrauding customers, and even more shame on the owner for setting up their young employees for failure. Only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is the great employees managing a hard situation.
Update: the shady owner, Katie Davis, had the gall to email me and put the blame on her poor employees, when she knows very well that she is the one responsible for updating product availability in the app. She also totally ignored my refund request, since I paid for something hey knee they didn't have and sold it anyways. There's a word for selling something you don't have: fraud. Luckily my bank was well aware of Katie Davis' fraudulent business activities and sided with me immediately when I...
Read moreI don't like to leave bad reviews but I felt like the service I received today was rude and unwarranted. I put an online order where I left special instructions for my sandwich and when I went back in to tell the guy that my order was wrong (meatballs were on the sandwich when I asked to pass on them), he began to ARGUE with me. He kept saying that I wrote the instructions incorrectly which when I came back to show my bf the instructions I left on the receipt, it turns out that in fact I had wrote them correctly. Regardless, I wasn't going to sit there and argue with him. Another customer came in behind me and asked for extra meatballs on his sandwich and the guy behind the counter who was fixing my sandwich started sarcastically saying "Yeah I can get you extra meatballs, I'll get you all the meatballs you want" passively aggressively referring to my request of remaking my sandwich without holding my meatballs. When finished, he aggressively slid my sandwich back over to me. I was not rude about my order being incorrect, so I feel like the attitude he was given me was undeserved. Working in customer service, regardless of whether the customer is right or not, there are certain ways you simply do not speak to a customer. I am currently looking into how I can escalate this to...
Read moreI'm not going to blame the servers, they did their best with what they had. The blame is strictly with the management and owner(s). Not having enough stock, not updating their website, all falls on the owner and manager! Leaving 3 people to handle the dinner rush not acceptable! They're overwhelmed! The cashier was obviously unhappy, no smile (not even a fake one), she didn't speak loudly enough so she could be heard over a full waiting area another sign of she didn'twant to get yelled at by a customer, she was definitely not trained to multitasking between doing the register and helping the gals making the sandwiches. Again BAD management! One of the gals was obviously new and trying hard to keep up with a smile, and for the most part did well. The experienced gal was also overwhelmed with trying to push the orders through, but it's hard when the don't have stock and have to keep apologizing. They do not glutenfree bread even though the website said they did. Considering GF is on the rise due to GMO, this is serious an insult to 25% of the buying public!
I'm not mad at the staff, they did their best being very young and working with what they knew and had. AGAIN, BAD...
