I would give Local Pie a better review because I think their food is fantastic, but, their service is severely lacking. We dined a total of three times in a week. The first night, I can understand the slower service (even though we were one of four couples at the restaurant) to the fact that the waitress was newer. The food made up for the slow service that night (The Deez Knots are really delicious, but not as garlic as they describe) that night. The second night we went with my in laws and their dogs. We walked up to the hostess booth and there was no hostess. After a short wait, a waiter came up to seat us. We told him we had four and the we also had dogs in our party so we'd like outdoor seating. We go outside, are literally standing in front of my in laws with their dogs and he asks where the rest of our party was. I know that's not bad service, but it set the tone. We sat at a couch to wait while a family of four finished eating at the only 4 person table outside. They left and then no one bussed the table. So we waited, 5 minutes, still no one bussed the table. It was pretty slow at the time and there were quite a few employees working, so I'm not sure why it took so long to bus the table. It was only after we had sat down at the table for 5 minutes that our waiter came back and he bussed the table. We ordered some drinks and they took 15 minutes to come out. The food came out a little while later. Once we had finished and the waiter brought the check, he never came back to collect. We waited for ten minutes, he never came back around and we finally gave the check to the bartender to see if he would run it so we could go. He said he couldn't, which I understand with the different sign in accounts for the employees, but he handed it back to us. I feel like he should have said, I can't, but I'll get this to your server for you. So we asked him if he would do that, which he then did. 5 minutes later our waiter comes back with the closed out check. So night two wasn't terrible, but it was slow service for two nights and it wasn't very crowded and it was starting to turn us off of the restaurant even though I really enjoyed the food. So night three we eat somewhere else for dinner and decide to get the Lil Something chocolate cake (absolutely decedent) to go. We call before we leave the resort so they'll have it ready, give them our name and number and order two slices. Kicker: they said the wait would be 30-45 minutes! To box up 2 slices of cake. I was blown away. So we go get coffee, walk around some shops and then head over. My wife goes in and I stay in the car. 5 minutes later she comes out without cake. Apparently there was no host/hostess and finally a waitress came up, looked at the ticket, told my wife to meet her at bar and then proceeded to talk to someone for 5 minutes before coming over to the bar and letting her know they're out of cake. Apparently they had to make more and the ganache wasn't set up. Ok that's fine I can understand that, but why couldn't you call us and let us know so we didn't waste half an hour waiting for not cake? They had our name and number. Also, if they didn't have the cake ready when we called, why did they tell us they did? That was just the last straw for us. One other thing; the waiter we had the second night said that this place is owned by Robert Irvine, who apparently hosts Restaurant Impossible. I'm not sure that this is true, but if it is, he needs to come work on his own restaurant because the service there is going to lose him customers. I feel that the food had the chops to be a really freat restaurant, but the service really holds it back.
So overall, great food, slow, frustrating service. Hopefully you have a better experience if you...

Also We were given water and a fresh vase of water. Our Waitress gave us plenty of time to read over the menus in a non rushed atmosphere. The Pizza was totally amazing and freshly made. They utilize stone fired ovens that you will see when on the premises. The portions were just perfect for our party of three. Our Waitress checked on us and made sure everything was good. Very Prompt service right from the start of our meal till we closed out our bill. No waiting around which can certainly ruin a great night out. The Restaurant is very clean and fully staffed.
