Phillys Cafe & Deli — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

Great little family owned restaurant that we came across when visiting the island. Very friendly and family oriented atmosphere. Their fryer went down on them, so they are currently saving up for a new one. They couldn’t fry any of the delicious menu items they normally have, but that wasn’t a problem because we understand the struggle. The food was fast and excellent. The Philly was solid, as well as the chicken salad my wife got. Both of my kids ate free because of their Saturday promotion, which is a crazy great deal. The prices were very good for the quality and portions of food. The hoagies are fresh baked daily and are excellent. I’d highly recommend this place if you’re in the area. We will certainly return next time we come back...

Take out order. Well quite disappointing but I should’ve listened to my gut since cheesesteaks are a staple up in NJ and I’m in SC. I was disappointed to say the least. Wife and I split two cheesesteaks since they only had cheese whiz for one. We got cheesesteak with onions and peppers and provolone. And the other was same but cheese whiz. The provolone one I had barely any cheese. The cheezewhiz one I had barely any cheese. The steak was shaved and disintegrated in my mouth. Honestly I’ll never go back. This was my second time visiting Hilton Head but the first time going to Philly’s and I could not recommend it more. During our vacation we dined in once and ordered to-go 2 other times. The hoagies are delicious! The rolls are fresh and the portion sizes are big. With a family of 4 it can sometimes be difficult to find places to eat that accommodate all of our tastes but Philly’s has so many options. Also, the staff are super friendly and the woman that took our order remembered us and even recommended us a place to visit! Overall a great experience! Definitely will go back if we visit Hilton Head...
